large corps taking PPP money, means they gobbled up to buy more company stock. I’ve seen this dog and pony show before

the bill was ridiculous but actually democrats are responsible for adding the prohibition from stock by backs

    • this whole political atmosphere is failed. from trump, putin, xi, jung, assad etc. and insane authoritarian ideologies (conservatism/islam/zion).

this current political atmosphere is just sickness and death. it is pure garbage.

  2. Caught up in the Love Of Money !

    • I read a report that says if you are admitted to the hospital with corona, the hospital charges medicare $13,000 and if you need a ventilator, it will charge medicare $39,000…no wonder that are so many tested positive…follow the money

    • The world will end soon enough. This year is just getting started!!!!

    • communism needs to crash the economy and buy everything out. like trump is doing. like putin, jung, xi etc.

this whole political atmosphere is failed. from trump, putin, xi, jung, assad etc. and insane authoritarian ideologies (conservatism/islam/zion).

this current political atmosphere is just sickness and death. it is pure garbage.

  3. The government doesn’t want to test people because they know the numbers will go up….

    • @slactweak slackweak… how appropriate. Boring.

    • @john emeigh C’mon now, I KNOW you can do better than that. I realize that you only have two functional brain cells but you could at LEAST put a bit of EFFORT into it. Try again and, this time, do try to be a bit more amusing. It’s not worth my time if you’re just going to be a crashing bore.

    • @slactweak Are you a wart? OK Schutzstaffel (SS) Officer, you are 1 chromosome away from being human. You, and your Lefty moon-cow echo chamber infants have no agenda. You know that so, you spend your energy trying to claim all moral and intellectual high ground. You possess neither. What do you have, idea wise, to make things better? Nada, zip, zilch, bupkis, zero. You’re laughable Don Quixote.

    • @john emeigh Dude, that’s nearly as pathetic as the first try. I’ll give you ONE more chance and then, if I’m not VERY amused, I’m going to ignore your pathetic @$$ and get on with an INTELLIGENT conversation elsewhere.

      Come get some, Cupcake.

    • @David O’Bryant The didnt have to shut down their economy because they IMMEDIATLY tested and quarantied the infected when south Korea got its first case in December 15th. The US didnt do anything with the first 15 people who got infected the same day, Trump claimed it would go away but it didnt and now companies are not comfortable being open as the death toll/cases rise. If the US had taken it seriously the first time and enforced a nationwide lockdown, it wouldnt be in this mess. Blame your bumbling president who now has death on his hands

Asia is seeing the second wave and here our ‘Stable Genius’ is itching to open the country when the first wave hasn’t even ended yet.

    • @john emeigh –Darwin wasn’t wrong. However, his theory is premised on survival of fittest without any safety net or manipulated conditions, which don’t really exist in current society. OTOH, drop some people in middle of wilderness? Now you’ve got a test group.

    • @john emeigh What makes you think atheists aren’t republicans?

    • @Dave Santos IDK how looters relate to my post re: Darwinism & TSTL. Unless you mean protestors will vent frustration by looting & general riot/mayhem.

    • @tarod3 Generalization. A Republican can be an atheist. But, classifying “atheists” as Republicans, is not possible.

    • john emeigh when a candidate uses your faith to manipulate you into voting for him, question his motives. Question his faith. If the same people promoting laissez-faire capitalism were also pushing for stronger unions, I could get behind it. But they never are…
Of course, you’re not here to talk politics. You’re here to insult me for saying things that threaten your faith.

Don’t count too much on a vaccine in 18 months.

    • @Ron Maxim yea your body my arm bc like it or not we are controlled like waaaahmen cant go topless in public no prostitution no illegal drugs no suicide or self harm on and on and dont like it change the laws and it takes two to be 6 feet apart and if one thinks they have freedom then that’s not easy and I’m not afraid of the virus I’m afraid of morons acting like there is no virus infecting everyone and the economy is very bad much worse than being reported and that will make it harder for masks or other things and sick people to not pass it on

    • @MAXIMUMVELOCITY LLC well it shouldn’t be a luxury I’ll tell you why and why capitalism will fail and turn into hyper capitalists right now automation is taking over from rows of tablets inside mcds to truck driver being autonomous to robots at Amazon I seen it yrs ago with car washes but farming robot pickers on and on so soon less and less jobs for actual humans

    • with this current political atmosphere. expect pro longed treatment and a vaccine held off for profit.

this whole political atmosphere is failed. from trump, putin, xi, jung, assad etc. and insane authoritarian ideologies (conservatism/islam/zion).

Australians followed government instructions, though here too some idiots came out of lockdown, but the police took charge. Now the worst is over and soon Australia will slowly open back up.

    • Kay O'Keeffe | April 24, 2020 at 2:16 AM | Reply

@VS Berlina ok I’ll invest a little time in explaining how deaths per million of the total population is calculated. Not only does the POTUS have a lot to answer for but so does the US education department. Divide the number of total deaths by the total population it’s that simple. So for Aust it’s 2.96 per million and for US it is 153 deaths per million. 153 is significantly more than 2.96 just in case you can’t work that out. To save you from having to attempt math use this site https://www.statista.com/statistics/1104709/coronavirus-deaths-worldwide-per-million-inhabitants/. Aussies are also happy to help the needy, you’re welcome 🙂

    • @Kay O’Keeffe Re-read what they wrote (that’s also why I requoted B G).
They’re talking about the USA, *relative* to Australia.
      2.96 divided by 153 is approx 2%.
Your figures are identical to mine.
You’re not understanding their point, which was to highlight that USA deaths are 33 times higher, per capita, than Australia (and we proved it was actually 50 times higher).

    • You people love the police state .
Why not move to China? Or north Korea?
Wouldn’t it make more sense to let the so call stupid die? They vote completely the opposite of your views anyway. I’ll tell you what when the vaccine come out you take it and leave the so call dummies alone to see who dies first . It’s fairly simple really.

    • Lilac Lizard | April 24, 2020 at 5:05 PM | Reply

@VS Berlina Here’s an even simpler version https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-04-23/how-australia-is-tracking-coronavirus-deaths-other-countries/12177430
      “Australia’s death rate is currently:
More than 100 times lower than France
Nearly 100 times lower than the United Kingdom
50 times lower than the United States
      20 times lower than Germany
      60 times lower than Switzerland
      20 times lower than Denmark
      12 times lower than Norway”

    • Lilac Lizard | April 24, 2020 at 5:09 PM | Reply

@Don Quixote if “police state” to you means the police intervene to stop people killing other people, then yes, the “police state took control” here.
The government also attempted to impose some rules that we the people didn’t approve of, such as banning visits to girlfriend/boyfriend’s home & banning fishing, so we forced our will onto the police & government on those & they obeyed us & removed those restrictions. Does this fit with your definition of a “police state”?

  7. I live totally on SS still waiting on my check. Lg corps are taking money by the millions when the rest if us are getting thrown. Crumbs. Same ol , same ol

    • Lilac Lizard | April 24, 2020 at 5:41 PM | Reply

“shelter in place” means in the place you’re at when that order is given, not travel back to the US if you’re elsewhere in the world! Sure that’s ignored a lot, but that’s what should happen, so if they were there, it is the right thing for them to stay there

  9. Stop confusing “Flattening” with “Diminishing”

  10. It’s still way too fast in Europe. It’s like throwing someone who has touched a steering wheel once into a MAC truck and order them to drive through capitol cities at rush hour. “Need. More. Time. “

    • this whole political atmosphere is failed. from trump, putin, xi, jung, assad etc. and insane authoritarian ideologies (conservatism/islam/zion).

this current political atmosphere is just sickness and death. it is pure garbage….

    • @Radix Malorum I’m lower middle-class myself, thru cirumstances at best. So I’m not speaking from a golden castle, exactly. The only way I see, possibly, is being unified in ordering the police to constantly monitor/control people and then force people to respect social distancing, wearing of masks in public etc ; to be ultra-ultra-strict with enforcing clear guidelines and then slapping those who resist with high fines, the police prominently visible in the streets, in many stores. Stop the politicisation of this absolute necessity. It will not be nice, but I see no nother option to have some sort of balance. I would not have a problem with police in the streets, as I have no problem to sacrifice things for the greater good !

    • Lilac Lizard | April 24, 2020 at 5:29 PM | Reply

@Radix Malorum bottom line is the vast majority of countries in discussion here have the resourses for the governments to pay the poor people the amount of money needed for them to stay at home safely for the few months needed to get control of the virus

    • Radix Malorum | April 24, 2020 at 5:40 PM | Reply

@Lilac Lizard You realize money is just paper and is worthless without an actual economy right? You leftists apparently can’t grasp this simple concept.

    • Lilac Lizard | April 24, 2020 at 5:58 PM | Reply

@Radix Malorum but we have an economy 🙂 our government sold 4 year government bonds to fund the stimulus package, then gave us all money to go spend & kept the toystores selling jigsaws open for us to go & spend our stimulus money at (hairdressers too). And it’s not paper, it’s polymer, that way it’s easier to wash the virus off if we don’t want to use our cards to pay

this current political atmosphere is just sickness and death. it is pure garbage….

    • It is the same in the US.

  14. These companys have been making billions of dollars for years then 2 weeks into a situation they need bailed out? Wake up people

    • @Harry Hatesu hey hamroll, no one owns a small business like you. If everyone had a business you would had no employees, if you have no employees you had no job if you had no jobs, you have no business. Simpler I cannot get.

    • @Harry Hatesu hey harry I heard they are giving 100k to those small businesses. But because you are not a so called leecher, like you say the rest are. I guess you will not be getting help. Lol

HAHAHAHAHA. BULLSHT. YOULL BE THE FIRST ONE EXTENDING YOUR ARM FOR THAT CASH… come on harry people like you. The ones that talk about others are the first ones in line to receive the SWEET SOCIALISM HELP MONEY. But in this case you will love SOCIALISM because that’s what socialism means. It means HELP YOUR FELLOW CITIZENS…

    • @Wilson Z it’s not??? So what happened to the 4.5 TRILLION WE PRINTED A MONTH AGO. We have the money. Why no use it to help the people. Healthcare n education.. nahhhhh it’s too expensive they say. CAPITALISM IS THE MOST GREEDY SYSYEM next to a dictator.

The reason trump is rushing to open the country is to take those 250 billion that belongs to the people. If you dont think that GREED? You are in denial.

You have dirty governors that were selling their STOCKS shares as soon as they knew everything was going to collapse. (Just to make their accounts fatter) You have corporations asking for socialism, asking for billions of handouts. once they get their billions of socialism handouts, they start their dirty work once again.

I repeat. If you think that’s not GREED. I want to live in your candyland world. And be happy for the rest of my life.

When are you going to start discussing Australia & New Zealand? Why are you so reluctant to share with people that the entire pacific region, ie numerous underdeveloped island countries with next to no resourses, under the management of Oz & NZ, are on track to eradicate this virus completely within months? Why mention South Korea’s single digit cases but not the culturally & size identical to America, Australia & New Zealand’s consistent single digit cases now both have the virus under control?

You’re still in denial of how badly you did with this in America aren’t you & if you directly compare it to Australia, it shows just how atrocious the results really are!
