Therefore the recipients will get just the adjuvents, which is the mixture of sometimes hazardous substances designed to make the immune system react. Why do they not use a saline solution or other inert substance ?……..because then any adverse reaction to the poisons contained would show up like a beacon in the results, this way both groups will have similar numbers of bad reactions, therefore the excuse is that the reactions would happen anyway. Standard practice of vaccine testing , which is never done with double blind, inert placebo tests.
