Not covid fatigue, but rather data that the virus is not serious for most of the population. Look up death rate by age.

The corona virus, like the rhinovirus and other common respiratory viruses mutates fairly quickly, it’s simply an attribute of these viruses. Because they mutate so quickly and are only seldom fatal, we don’t invest time and money trying to develop a vaccine . . . normally.

No test anywhere in the World available to the general public which can isolate the Covid19 strain of Coronaviruses. The tests look for any corona virus DNA not just Covid19 strain. Pandemic is a psychological operation to keep you in fear

Clearly, most of you don’t understand Swedes. We are notorious for following the rules and anti-intellectualism isn’t as widespread as it is in the United States, for example. Yes, we have idiots too but for the most part, behaving in a manner for the betterment of our community is part of our culture. The current rise is cases in Canada is not the government’s fault. It’s because enough knuckleheads are acting selfishly and irresponsibly.
Why not just have voluntary self isolation? That way anyone who wants to complain about risk can just self quarantine. There should be no problem with that.

As a Swede myself, we are notorious for following the rules and obeying public health guidelines. Physical distancing is a no-brainer. You don’t protect yourself and fellow members of your community by foolishly believing you know better than the experts.

Cases, cases, cases…. talk to me about hospitalizations and mortality. I’m not interested in cases as it’s entirely dependent on testing rates.
It’s the product of testing rates and positivity rates. I hear what your saying, but in general both the positivity and testing rates will increase as true cases increase.
Hospitalizations and fatalities are lag indicators. We already saw that in the United States. Indeed, we have to look at positivity rates but those too are rising.

It would be interesting to know how many tests did Canada conduct for influenza a & b, and other types of viruses previous seasons. I have a feeling not as many as with covid (Because who really cared if you had a little caugh or runny nose previous years. Those viruses were not as fancy as covid! Lol). Of course it is easy to run thousands of tests daily, have a few hundreds of positive out of these thousands, and then manipulate with this data and play the game ‘horrendous and super virulent (not really) covid’.
