Omg I’m praying for the nurse’s and doctors in Jamaica they are the backbone of our country
Working in the hospital system now is beyond crazy. Nurses are not given the proper PPE to work and carry out there duties. At a particular hospital in Kingston the covid wards have reached its total capacity and positive cases are housed on regular wards. The government of Jamaica is doing a poor job in managing COVID 19. We need to build a building with aleast 6 wards with donning and doffing areas in place to care for these patients. Also Nurses and Doctors need to be given proper PPE to do work. Also we need to test each patient before placing them on regular wards and have a holding unit for them before being sent out on the general wards. We need to put the degrees to work and do better.
Jamaicans also need to take responsibility for there actions. We need to wear our masks, practice proper hand hygiene and do social distancing. Its not easy working in the hospitals. Working hard every day to care for patients and end up being exposed to COVID-19. Healthcare workers have families too. We are a selfish people by not practicing the right things and shows the level of intelligence that we have as a nation.

Exposure? Why isn’t Tufton providing the PPE that these front line essential workers must have? The doctors are protected adequately? Why would they sacrifice nurses! They will become infected and take into the community! Community spread can wipe out whole sections of the society! Holmes is failing badly!
