  1. Local pilot in jamaica not getting the work they know the channel well but uno a give other overseas pilot the work. Bet you him get more pay than our local pilots. Stop mashing up jamaica u govs.

    1. Pilotage fees are compulsory in Jamaica but you are not required to take a local pilot. Most of the cruise ships don’t take one because they come here regularly and use their captain to take in the ship. This won’t affect a Jamaican pilots salary.

    2. @Jordan Jordannis They are referring to marine pilots, not pilots on planes. Marine pilots manoeuvre ships safely into ports of call or through treacherous waters.

  2. It’s the ship Captain say if he wants the local pilot to bring in the ship in port, once the Local pilot is on the bridge to assist with Navigating the ship through the channel, that’s the main thing

    1. 🤨⁉️🤨⁉️🤨⁉️🤨⁉️🤨⁉️…..Is the ship a Jamaican owned cruise line⁉️..Why ask a question or make a statement that has obvious answer/conclusion😡⁉️
