Coronavirus is about to hit the red states really hard. It hit NYC so hard early on because NYC is a major travel hub. Coronavirus is in the USA in mass now and the red states are not immune, in many cases they are worse off.
I’m not saying it won’t obviously hit and affect red states but due to less population density the virus wont hit rural places as hard as metropolitan areas. But bigger towns or economic regions could be heavily affected
it will definitely happen if they keep up those protests

@robert matthewson On the other hand, many red states have no functioning medical infrastructure so as soon as they get a couple thousand cases the healthcare system is going to implode for them, so I’d expect it to be worse per capita in the rural states.

If the “blue” states didn’t give money to the red states they would all be bankrupt. Blue states are affected more by the virus simply because look at where they are and what they are. If there are no new cases weeks at a time then chances are there won’t be. It’s been several weeks of only 1 new case.
In N.Y. they are finding out 6% of new hospitalizations are home quaretined people. So it makes no difference if you are in or out. 96% of cases are out and about in about a week or two.
