    1. Kansas used to be a hotbed of working class populism (especially during Superman’s earliest years in publication). Read Thomas Frank’s “What’s The Matter With Kansas” for more on that history.

The fictional Kent family embody all that is great about this country.

It doesn’t surprise me that a real life Kansas farmer mirrors that decency.

    1. he would refuse it and ask it be given to a frontline worker.
thats the kind of person this kansas farmer is.

  1. This is beautiful! Kansans are the best kind of folks. Signed a NYC residing, Northeast Kansas girl.

    1. From a Nebraska gal thanks for word. I am watching this video though lol brcause on another post a gal put to effect that cuomo was so “fingering” the mask that he may have infected it. I doubt. Seems like he barely had it in his hands. Worried me to see that but it be I’m sure full gutting for Andrew to realize he made a problem instead of a solution. He seems a kind soul. I think he feels deeply.

  2. Trump would have said: Great farmers in Kansas and they all love me because I do great,I am tremendous. You are fake news.

  3. That farmer represents all that is good in America but I doubt that the people who protest social distancing get this because they’re too self serving to grasp the concept of compassion.

    1. @WindBreaker Thank you. Amazing how fast a narrative takes hold, especially in the group that likes to call people “low information voters”

    2. benny ko I suppose we are using 2 different definitions of ‘social distancing’ or possibly the degree that distancing is enforced. Trying to maintain 6’ apart from others, when possible, is ok. Forcing people to pause/cancel their livelihoods is what the protests are about.

    3. @WindBreaker you’re going to have to wait like everyone else, stop your sniveling public health comes first, your livelihood probably can probably wait a while because it saves lives.

  4. Let’s send prayers and all energy to this wonderful being and his wife with one Lung with Diabetes all our love🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

  5. I loved how he sped through the bit of praise the farmer gave him because it’s not important to him. Humility.

  6. I find myself watching Gov. Cuomo’s press conferences more and more than the actual guy in office. Why? I ask myself. Because the story is about someone else. Thank you governor. Your style of leadership is what the country need right now.

    1. I love to watch Gov Cuomo. He slips some good jokes in from time to time, too. I watch my Gov Newsom every day, too. Thank God for our good governors. <3

    2. He’s a nice governor, appreciated. It’s my first time be interested in a governor’s press conference and wait to watch it everyday.

  7. This anecdote reminds me of his family dinner story (remember, spaghetti and meatballs?). Governor Cuomo’s ability to combine honest, clear update reports with gems like this is truly inspiring. These are the nuggets of hope and humanity that pull other people through times like this one. Leadership at its best.

    1. As we outside the US remember and hold so so dear…Shame get well soon🌹
Get rid of that trump and his mates…👍🇺🇸

    1. It’d be a landslide but we need people like Cuomo working not campaigning. That goes to other governors as well. The governors that shine in this crisis will likely be the next strong candidate, republican or democrat.

  8. Now THIS, is how you make America great again. True patriotism has nothing to do with wearing a silly red hat, or wrapping yourself in the flag. Those are things you can train a monkey to do. True  Patriotism is caring about what happens to one another. 👍

    1. He can’t, but can you imagine the uprising if he did. New Yorkers have more chutzpah than anywhere else in the country and they hate Trump. Trump will never go back to NYC except to appear in SDNY court as the defendant, and Michael Cohen will be there as a witness. Governor Cuomo should get the Medal of Freedom from President Biden in the near future.
