@ChalensKy with all due respect to your opinion, I think it was a good, responsible dig. Sometimes such digs are useful to make a candidate not take anything for granted and sound their message out loud. Especially cause the final outcome depends heavily on older voters in the Midwest and Rust Belt and so on..

Interesting idea. However, what I have learned in my 50 years of existence is that nothing is free. If you take away money from the government, the government will get it back in the form of taxes! If you win the lottery, or inherit money from family, the government will make sure you pay what they think is your “fair share”. You earn an extra income by getting a second job, or getting a raise at your current job, you pay the government more taxes! What really is the solution to this problem, is getting rid of the federal income tax instead of introducing and implementing the idea of a U.B.I.(Universal Basic Income). People would have more money to spend, if the federal government didn’t take it away!

Under your proposal, the wealthy will become wealthier and the poor will become poorer. Meanwhile, automation will do away with millions of jobs and the middle class wither away into oblivion. Jason Khan look, the progressive income tax at the federal level, along with the IRS and the Federal Reserve private central bank are all technically illegal. However, the only real people against the taxes, are those at the top who have to pay them after their many deductions and Carmen island accounts are flush. Is it fair that we have to rent our land and homes from the government via property tax? Is it fair that we have to fund schools when we don’t have children with the school tax? Nothing in USA is fair. So, on that note, the rich who have spent 5 decades overthrowing the power and economy of the US people, can pay through the nose.

The world is changing and for many Americans their jobs are at risk of automation. Getting rid of the income tax doesn’t help when you can’t get a job. Consider truck driving. There is a good chance that within 10 years we will have market ready automated trucks doing a majority of the work. There are 3.5 million truck drivers. They wouldn’t lose their job because they didn’t work hard enough but because the robots are cheaper.
Cuomo seems to like him. This interview is very informal.

@Bryan Broome It got us a certain amount of healing after Richard Nixon. If you are old enough, I doubt it actually, you might remember the high inflation of the 70s. Carter appt. Paul Volcker who is credited with ending that high inflation. Luckily Reagan kept him in that job.

@G Sterling Surprisingly your data supports Tesla. Large companies like Youtube and Amazon look just like this as they expand and grow. The proof of Tesla’s success is their expansion; which calls upon reinvesting earnings and making loans and leverage and stock market maneuvers, not to mention the worst they look on paper the better their tax return will be. As far as the tax credit goes, this will not affect Tesla’s main customers which is upper middle class and tech first adopters. Look at the competitors Audi and Mercedes they are in the luxury vehicle market selling cars to upper middle class and wealthy people; so the tax incentive are a plus but not crucial for these people looking for luxury brands. In short tax credits won’t impact the EV market much, if anything Audi and Mercedes will be spending billions in infrastructure as they adopt new technology, also, they have long standing relationships to keep or shatter with car dealerships! which are middlemen taking a cut from the profit, thing that overbooked Tesla has nothing to worry about.
