I was taught about the melting pot.
I would love to be able to write like Doris Kearns Goodwin and I would like to create like Da Brat does but I can not.
Allow me to offer the perspective that I see in middle America. I will not vote Republican in the upcoming election.
I have read History and the patterns of the past tell me more than I want to know.
My conservative family and friends have tuned out to the mean rhetoric. They rather enjoy the team spirit.
My friends and family who do not read history also have not read his tweets, attended
rallies and they do not listen to him. They have not read the Mueller report and they are continually hacked by trolls and bots
on Facebook because they share memes.
Our local stations chose their words carefully and don’t lean towards dissension or discord. No one is discussing politics now because
they risk losing friends and family and mostly they think alike and are content.
The overall consensus or Feeling because most of them do not have time to read, is that the economy is booming.
Parents who are conservative say that they would be separated from the children if they broke the law. They make no mention
of the factory owners or operators.
The message that is coming from the left side of the aisle and the only message they hear is that Screaming’ Liberal Socialists
want to give free stuff to everyone, including illegals.
Even those who live in rural farm communities seem to be unaware of where the food on their table is picked, processes and produced.
And the Oldish in Florida on Facebook in Villages are terrifying in their enthusiasm…maybe walkers have their advantages.
And could we please make give these talented Ladies a weekly segment or show?
I remember when I was about 8yrs old and came home to an empty house and at 69yrs still remember it well. It was horrifying.

Because my father was deployed there in the Cold War US Army, I was born in Germany. So naturally, I have decades of curiosity, study and inquiry into the rise of the Nazis to power, mainly just to understand the concentration camps I toured there as an elementary school child. When Trump’s Hispanic rhetoric is viewed in it’s entirety over the last four years, it reminds me so much of the way Hitler scapegoated and dehumanized the Jews. Are these many mass shootings of our citizens in their houses of religion or this one in El Paso based on victim’s ethnic origin, the 2018-2020 lead up to or a version of Kristallnacht 1938?

This horrific administration has basically declared a psychological war against immigrant children on either side of our border.
