Deadly fire rips through refugee camp

A fire swept through a sprawling Rohingya refugee camp in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, killing at least eleven people, destroying homes and endangering the lives of tens of thousands of refugees, according to the Bangladesh government.

The fire destroyed at least 10,000 shelters as it tore through the camp, according to the Inter Sector Coordination Group (ISCG) in Bangladesh.
Up to 10,000 Rohingya refugee families — more than an estimated 45,000 people — have been displaced, the ISCG said, who also warned that figure could climb in the next few days as assessments from aid organizations continue.

  1. Hey CNN int’l! Fix your upload volume! Youre going to blow up Grandma’s Hearing Aid! PAJAMAS!

    1. And the border crisis is the worst it’s been 20 years. Biden’s cages are overflowing. Not a peep from the left

    2. All you got now is democratic corporate beast system genocide programs to suck on.
You’re being exterminated but you’re brainwashed off of democratic corporate beast system fake news so your whole existence is a fabricated lie.
      The Chemtrail soup proves it

  2. If you notice he says: ethnic groups a lot, because there’s no such thing as different races, we are a species with different ethnicities and lineages. Race is a social construct & has basis in science, it’s daylight saving time doesn’t really exist, we made it up “social construct”… Here in the states is the only country that uses that stupid word “race” we’re all the same species.

    1. @Anonymous I’ve had another look and there was a large fire a year ago , a fire 2 months ago and this one ? Thats 3 in one year ! Either someone’s very stupid or something dodgy about it

  3. Myanmar military government once set ablaze the homes of Rohingya to force them to leave. Could someone have taken a page from Myanmar regime’s playbook?

  4. It was just a week ago that the gov said they will move these people by force to a remote island 3 hrs off shore. The people didn’t want to go, and were afraid they would die from flooding and lack of resources. Now a fire burns down their camp, and they have only one place to go… the island. Just a coincidence… i am sure.

really? we just asked them to move to a place where they can have it all, with proper hygiene and scopes to start business and farming, we built schools and hospitals exclusively for them we though being a poor country and while in dhaka people are still homeless we built them proper housing that is better than 85% of rural Bangladeshi housing. The system our government designed is the most complex and most efficient system for refugees.Just because they are our guests and they deserve better after all that they went through. But we overestimated them. Now what do they do? start conspiring, making it look like a plan to eradicate their race.
We were wrong, they dont deserve these. They are some ballsacks who lived their whole life in a back water like burma. They will just prefer to produce 5 babies a year and live in a sack. Ow they dont need to worry about food, bd government will provide them even tho many bd people still starving. If they have to go to vasanchar my have to start doing something, they have to work to provide. And they dont want that. They will just rater live in a sack rather living in a hygienic environment where they have to make their living.

  5. This is just incredibly sad….can you imagine…no where to go and no one willing to help. What is this world we live in!!!

    1. @South Philly Paisan Why, are people so heartless. I DO DONATE WHENEVER I can. I’ve worked all my life until medical issues forced me out from the job I had of over 35 years. I am on a disability income and still give to different charities every year (it may not be much but it’s something). I may not be a ‘white knight’ as you so sarcastically commented, but I’m definitely not a cruel woman….I’ll leave that title to YOU.

  6. Being trapped in by barbed wire during a fire…omg. These are people who are refugees. I’m sure they just lost all hope. My heart just cracked a lot over this. Sending super love to everybody affected 🙏 ❤

    4. @Aycan Mete God has been good to me. To not share when I can would be wrong. When I share I am thanking God for his blessings and goodness. My oldest son died of Covid-19 4 months ago. It was hard not to be angry. Now I thank God for my son being in my life for 48 years.

  7. Such a beautiful mass of humanity; we all need more empathy for one another and to embrace our differences rather than divide ourselves.

  8. It’s like the wind of Misfortune keeps hitting these people I hope one day God Smiles in their favor🤔
