  1. I’m dumb founded that people are still on cruises!!! The writing on the wall happened over a month ago! I don’t get it! 🥺

    1. STUPID MORONS! “Oh I’m stupid…feel sorry for me”! Screw them…let some other country let you off the ship…we don’t want you here.

    2. @Julie Manarin Appears these passengers have been aboard these ships since the 1st week of March when Trump announced “there was nothing to worry about”. Since many, if not most are American citizens, the governor is deplorable for not allowing them to dock & disembark.

    1. @mark price
Yes! And the democrats conveniently do not show what they have done while trying to make Trump more “transparent” according to them.
What do you think about the fact that areas that tend to be Democratic are being hit with the virus harder than others? Is it because Democrats tend to be from more heavily populated areas?

    2. @1TalldrinkH2O I think there is a connection between the hot spots and democratic regions. For one, they tend to be where higher concentrations of migrants settle, ( those who could bring in disease from China/world). And those same areas tend to be clustered living vs spread out in other areas( like New York). And those same areas have folks who don’t listen to the news, care about the news and therefore when the word went out about isolating, they didn’t do it for a variety of reasons. And those same liberal run cities( like New York) ignored the warnings about getting ventilators/PPE and instead spent their money on other issues.

    3. @mark price …MSNBC and CNN have been VERY CRITICAL of DeBlasio, and rightfully so..and what Pelosi was doing in SF was WARNING people to TAKE PRECAUTIONS when gathering in groups..I just watched the video…she was doing NOTHING WRONG…

    4. @James Irving No, you are wrong again. Pelosi is going around saying Trump “dismissed” or “downplayed” the warnings while ignoring that she was no better than he was . She had a large crowd around her at this event( did she not take this serious enough?) and then on top of that she encouraged folks to get out and mingle in large numbers by attending the New Years. Don’t apply a “they got it wrong” tag on Trump when she and others did as much. Pelosi wants to impeach Trump over this for christ sake.

  2. why in the world would you go on a cruise after all thats going on..you know these people got on after the virus deal…look mom..no brains

    1. They left around March 7th. Schools in Florida did not close until around March 16th and schools are at the top of the list for spreading viral flu diseases.

Guess all those children, parents, teachers and administrators had no brains too.

    2. Same thing I was thinking years ago as they are always having outbreaks of sickness, tied to ……food, bacteria, etc something all the time. You cram 6000 people together for a week or more is just asking for something to break out

    3. No you’re not coming back to a country that’s totally different! They knew what was going on when they got on the ship and they knew that the recommendations and advice out there were not to get on a cruise ship but they did it anyway. Now they pose additional risk to all the people that have to be involved in extricating them and surrounding areas but all they care about is getting back home! They should’ve thought about this before they got on the ship!

    4. we’ve been questioning boomer logic for a looong while now. this is question is just another one

    1. Bryce Chadwick I think Trump has insinuated that what we’re seeing is questionable. That was early on he’s since ceased any comments that question the narrative.

    2. A1Googler He did not call it a hoax and you saying that demonstrates exactly the way you think. Go watch what he said. He said the Democrats politicizing this was a hoax. Why can’t you just stop lying? I’m not supporting the things he does but just stop lying. It’s so unfortunate people won’t just go listen to what he actually said. He literally said it was real and a problem right after he called THE DEMOCRATS a hoax.

  3. All these flights need to go straight to a mental institution because for the last three months we’ve been watching the coronavirus explode all over the world including cruise ships, but people still including elderly people decide to go on a cruises how messed up is our thinking can we get any more dumb than this is it possible.

    1. @Glenn Jones the coronavirus was brought in by US citizens returning home from China, Italy and all over the world because the Trump administration thought it was no big deal when all international flights should have been directed to only 3 airports and all passengers quarantined and isolated for 21 days. Instead Trump, his administration, Republicans and right wing media called it a hoax and said it wasn’t a big deal.

    2. @Bebe1214 O Bet I watch the same News as you and I didn’t get out of it what you just wrote. I think you are an anti Trumper and that clouds all you think.

    3. Aristotle Stagirus I cannot believe you came up with such a poorly thought out response to an obviously ridiculous situation.

    4. oldmanx1234 just because you got something out it doesn’t make the person wrong, confused or anti trump.

    1. JolieInc some of these cruise ships were already stuck before it got this bad… cmon use your brain. It’s not like they got on this cruise yesterday..

    2. @Mark Zoobkoff I’m just teasin’, I don’t have anything against “boomers”, just old people who don’t want to listen. Most older people have more sense than this, I think.

    3. @Cory Palmer I’m teasing too. I’m not a boomer. I live in Canada. I’m not going anywhere.

    4. Thanks for all the funny responses on here, I never check back after I write a comment but the notification kept coming up. Anyways, Thanks for the laugh, I’m too FRUSTRATED with it all!!

  4. They knowingly boarded a cruise ship during a pandemic.
    🤬’em.
    They belong to Wuhan now.

    1. Nah, they belong right where their going, the US. We currently have the most recorded cases, a broken government, and no lockdowns in place.

    1. No, converted into hospital, cargo or any other kind of useful ship. What they did during the world wars.

  5. Freaking government like if we weren’t bad with the circumstances we are living it they make it even worse

    1. @The what Actually, on a federal level I think the government has done plenty. It’s up to the individual state governments now (or it should be).
People often conceptualize America as a homogenous body with a single government, but the intention of the founding fathers was for states to be far more autonamus; similar to countries in the EU. The EU is not the be-all end-all ruling government controlling the whole of Europe, and it shouldn’t be.
Edit: I mean that as far as pushing laws and restricting people, state governments should be the deciding factor. The Federal government is still obligated to send _AID,_ but I wholeheartedly believe they should have no hand whatsoever in ordering shelter-in-place edicts or even shutting down businesses. Some states are failing to do their due dilligence, but there are many which have taken plenty enough action to protect their populations. New York stands as the obvious example of a failure, but I still believe it better to leave the decision making up to states as individual bodies rather than the Fed. Better some states fail and others react properly, than to rely on a central body and let them all fail.

    2. olesammie It’s hard to have compassion on the people who decided to risk their lives and everyone else’s by going on a cruise. That cruise line need to be sued! What a horrendous decision.

    3. olesammie As a counter argument, where is your compassion for our nation? People are going to go bankrupt over this, colleges and high schools abruptly closed denying their seniors any type of closure, or even their belongings at the moment. 27 days at sea means that when these people left, travel wasn’t restricted but it was somewhat questionable. But what wasn’t questionable was the knowledge that people on cruises were at high risk of being exposed to the coronavirus. Frankly, these people remind me of the kid who killed his parents, pleading for mercy because he’s an orphan. (Or she, I’m of the generation that uses the generic “he”.)

    1. @B Honey True they should’ve refunded and passengers should’ve put 2+2 together and realize going on a cruise during a pandemic isn’t exactly smart.

  6. Cruise company’s register their ships in places like the Bahamas in order to pay zero taxes.

But something goes wrong and they want to come to the US, where no taxes have been paid.

    1. d b Complete B.S.

Why don’t they ask the tax haven they are registered in? I would have sent them back to the country their vessel is registered in. They provide no money to the US economy. They employ workers from the Philippines, paying slave wages.

    2. Vincent Conti Come where? They board in the US and go spend all of their money at the international ports where they dock and on the cruise ship.

    1. @Vincent Conti to be fair, they claim to not be American ships when it comes time to pay the tax man, but they run to America whenever they are in trouble or need assistance.

  7. The fact they were allowed to leave a month ago proves they weren’t listening to the seriousness of this.

    1. On March 7th, when they departed, the situation was NOTHING like it is now. There were no Stay At Home orders. We still had a person in charge that were saying that we only had 15 cases and in two weeks we would have zero. People need to stop rewriting history.

    2. @Holli B nonsense, in vegas it was serious enough at that time. On March 7, other cruise ships already had the quarantine problem. You are picking and choosing history, is that the same thing?

  8. Don’t forget cruise lines who base themselves in other countries to dodge taxes are requesting bailouts from the US gov

    1. @Lightning93 figures. Just shows how immune these people are to any sort of consequences. When the US collapses they’ll just go somewhere else.

  9. Nobody will ever get on a cruise ship again. That’s one of the industries that isn’t coming back after this is over.

    1. My husband would never go on one for just this reason – although he certainly wasn’t thinking this bad

    2. Nah just like these people went on the ship, there will be more who will want to cruise after everything is over

    3. People will still be cruising buddy lol… not to mention when they find a cure you will forget about all of this

  10. Everyone saying “they didn’t know about it a month ago! they had no idea!”

I canceled my flight that was supposed to leave in mid/late Feb because of the pandemic. By early March, you REALLY had to be ignoring all the warnings to think going on a cruise was a good idea…
