I would love to see all of the Americas forge ahead and build strong economies. Nothing can help Canada but the voters. Mexico and most of South America is stunted by poor governments. The US has grown because the government provides a stable atmosphere for business to grow. Corruption is the primary killer of growth and development. Our government has corruption at the top and always will. There is no draining the swamp. Mexico on the other hand, the corruption runs deep all the way to city and police officials. The country is so poor. Business can’t grow in an environment where you have to pay protection. If someone starts to truly succeed someone else will mussel in and the profits will be gone.We are so blessed here in the US. But we are always one election away from financial ruin. We don’t need a nanny state like Canada is becoming. The government has to be balanced between business friendly and worker security. Hope Mexico will allow us to assist with the drug cartels. Oblivious they can’t deal with it alone. If we spent as much money to help Mexico by building up and securing Mexico as we do interfering in the middle east, we would have no border problems.
Lois Reed it’s a good deal for everyone. Here in the mid west farmers can sell their products in Canada, Canadians can sell their things here, higher wages for automakers who works in all three countries. This what the govt should focus on not useless impeachment.
