Bernie has heaped praise on Maduro and Ortega and brought up the literacy program in Cuba to save face for Castro:
Looking at Bernie’s track record though he deflects or engages in Whataboutisms when cornered.
Whatabout Castro’s literacy program when cornered on Castro being a torturer and jailer of political dissidents,
Whatabout Abraham Lincoln doing some bad things when cornered with Ortega’s atrocious record.
The deflections are always in defense of Socialists. Bernie runs down rich capitalists but never ran down Castro being a Millionaire Socialist.
In the end, Bernie was trying to save face for Castro by pointing to the literacy program but never proved that only Castro could do it and never pointed out that Castro literacy program was to teach people to read Socialist propaganda.

A bad person did one good thing and anyone with fairness and honesty can acknowledge that. The Chinese government (another ‘bad person) instructed manufacturers and retailers to not raise the price on masks for the duration of this virus situation. That was a good thing. Trump cuts the budget of the CDC at this time of great virus concern. That is not a good thing. Call him out instead of Bernie.
