Doc: COVID-19 Mutations Could Slow A Path To A Vaccine | The 11th Hour | MSNBC

  1. A vaccine is our only hope, because Americans refuse to distance socially, and in many cases, wear a mask.

    1. @bope85 at 3k a shot for the drug from Gilead which sounds like religious cult name in itself Moderna just cleared phase one and their producers signed a zero profits agreement, it may take a bit more but I will be going with Moderna over the Chinese shills.

    2. Vaccine is pointless if it mutates every couple months, unless you want a booster every 3 months. Fyi vaccines take a long time to develop, much more than 3 months…

    3. @Chris P. Bacon they started in February or March, and will have to constantly make new ones if the virus evolves as fast as it already has. It’s cool they sped it up, but it’s pointless if it took them longer than the evolution period…

    4. 68% will not inject a vaccine into their bodies and now there is information coming out saying you will need more than one injection to fight Covid-19. I for one will not touch the vaccine.

  2. Dr. Anthony Fauci is the Only thing on American “News” that was Sincere, American, and Truthful for the first fourth of the Year.

Bitter Medicine isn’t always accompanied by a spoonful of Sugar

  3. Who needs a vaccine when we got bleach? 💉🥵😩⚰️👻
    Amirite, t’rump supporters? 😅😂🤣

  4. Dr Fauci is saying the same thing as other countries specialist in this corona virus cases. I trust him 100% !

  5. Dr. Anthony Fauci was appointed Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in1984. He oversees an extensive research portfolio of basic and applied research to prevent, diagnose, and treat established infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, respiratory infections, diarrheal diseases, tuberculosis and malaria as well as emerging diseases such as Ebola and Zika.

Dr. Fauci has advised six Presidents on HIV/AIDS and many other domestic and global health issues. He was one of the principal architects of the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), a program that has saved millions of lives throughout the developing world.

Dr. Fauci also is the longtime chief of the Laboratory of Immunoregulation. He has made many contributions to basic and clinical research on the pathogenesis and treatment of immune-mediated and infectious diseases. He helped pioneer the field of human immunoregulation by making important basic scientific observations that underpin the current understanding of the regulation of the human immune response.

Dr. Fauci is a member of the US National Academy of Sciences and has received numerous awards, including the National Medal of Science, the Mary Woodard Lasker Award for Public Service, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom.  He has been awarded 38 honorary doctoral degrees and is the author, coauthor, or editor of more than 1,200 scientific publications, including several major textbooks.

In a 2019 analysis of Google Scholar citations, Dr. Fauci ranked as the 41st most highly cited researcher of ALL TIME.  According to the Web of Science, he ranked 8th out of more than 2.2 million authors in the field of immunology by total citation count between 1980 and January 2019. Today, countless people around the world owe their very lives to Dr. Fauci, and the work he has done.

Now, does anyone know what Peter Navarro has ever done?

    1. What Peter Navarro has ever done? Yeah! He grabs his ankles and bites down on a pillow for Trump. 😝

    2. My field of medicine is neurology, but I can attest to Dr. Fauci’s integrity, intelligence and empathy. He is a man that can be trusted. It really pains me to hear of the attacks he’s unfairly receiving.

  6. Remember what Michael Cohen told us about Trump: “He doesn’t tell you to do something, but he makes it clear what he wants you to do.” Peter Navarro fell into that trap.

  7. How is this virus mutating 4 and ,5 times? It usually takes a virus years to mutate to this extent. It doesn’t seem like a natural pathogen. It seems man made.

  8. Maybe if the corporate world actually wants their bonuses and dividends they might stop advertising on Fox and stop the misinformation that is destroying the virus response and thus the economy.

  9. Mutations is nothing new, Iceland registered 40 different mutations in their community testing in back in April, including including two different ones in the same patient. The real question is _how significant_ are these mutations. Not all mutations bear an impact on (potential) vaccine efficiency.

  10. Why do you suppose an effective vaccine for SARS, MERS or any SARS-like virus hasn’t been created yet after several years?

    Because such viruses mutate.

  11. Let’s just listen to Dr FAUCI…..
Let’s stop listening to the clowns in the white House….. VOTE THEM OUT.

  12. My suspicion is that people who present with COVID for a second time are not reinfected, but simply coming out of remission. Perhaps, COVID like herpes and malaria is forever with the immune system and the virus taking turns in being ascendant or dormant.

  13. Go figure🙁, and why are many of us not surprised🥳? Just do the right thing and wear a mask😷 and stay home as much as possible🙄, it’s easy I know from experience. 🙂

  14. Pharmaceutical companies can’t save us with a pill not surprised they refuse to make a vaccine in time before the next virus comes out

  15. Do I believe Trump ( who paid someone to take his SATs) is more qualified to call the shots than scientists that usually spend most of their lives studying and doing research?
