They admitted it on their FB page because locals there with them got it too. Some old folks in nursing homes here died as a result. I guess old lives don’t matter to them if it’s the rights they like.

It was the people who went to the protests with the people with Covid from St Louis then spread it to their family who went to work at the nursing homes. When they let BLM protest but closed business while keeping Wal Mart open, they lost all credibility. I didn’t go to church for months of my own free will but BLM didn’t care.

    4. That strikes at the heart of this situation. The people screaming about their liberties are among the class that has seldom had to endure any real hardship. They live relatively easy lives and are completely numb to the suffering of others. They haven’t been forced to confront harsh realities of life. They need a great big dose of humility. I agree that they should witness the ICU experience of a Covid patient, but best choose one of the healthy 30-somethings to show them, otherwise they’ll just find some reason to blame the victim.

  10. ICUs are where people go when they stand a really good chance of dying. Once they hit a week, they are not going to make it. Wear the mask so you don’t spread it. Hope that others wear the mask so they don’t give it to you.

      Second, COVID, as you should know, even though you are not a physician, attacks multiple systems simultaneously. You can have major systemic failure SIMULTANEOUSLY. Lungs, heart, kidneys, liver, bowel, circulatory, etc. Very ugly and very fast.

      Your sepsis is comparatively easy to treat, with fluids, antibiotics and other supportive care. With COVID, they have little to nothing in the arsenal for treatments and, depending upon other underlying conditions, it will kill you much, much faster than 3 weeks.

      As someone who is supposedly in charge of the care of infirm and elderly patients, your attempt to downplay this is very, very disturbing. Very.

I’m an RN and have been wearing a face mask for 12-16 hour shifts for 35 years…other than dealing with a sweaty face now and then, no harm has ever come to me (or any of my colleagues for that matter). They never closed schools or shut down their economy. They test, quarantine, contact trace, socially distance and all wear masks (since January). This will end once we have a vaccine.
