  1. Mick Mulvaney reminds me of an old, imbecilic Harry Potter who’s only magic power is the ability to stay employed in the White House.

    1. @Nåmen, tilbage til TIBETSAGEN how are things in Moscow, comrade? They got you working late tonight? Second shift at the troll Farm? LOL

    2. March 2, 2020 From “Mayor de Blasio, Governor Cuomo Hold Media Availability on the First Confirmed Case of Coronavirus in NY State”
      *NY Democrat Governor Andrew Cuomo:*
“So, I want to make sure I tell the people of NY what I told my daughter – in this situation, the facts defeat fear, because the reality is reassuring. It is deep breath time.
This – first of all, this is not our first rodeo with this time of situation in NY.
In 1968, we had the Hong Kong flu.
In 2009, we had the Swine flu, where we actually closed like 100 schools in NY State.
Avian flu, Ebola, SARS, MERS, measles, right?
So, we have gone through this before.
When you look at the reality here, about *80 % of the people who are infected with the coronavirus self-resolve.*
They have symptoms, the *symptoms are similar to what you would have with the normal flu,* and for most people, they treat themselves, over 80 %, and the virus resolves that way.
      About 20 % get ill.
The mortality rate is estimated to be about 1.4 %.
1.4 %, what does that mean?
The normal flu mortality rate is about 0.6 %, and the CDC says 1.4, but they’re extrapolating from what we know from countries around the world.
First, even on the 1.4 %, again that is – *tends to be people who are debilitated, senior-citizens, many of whom have an underlying illness* – that tends to be the people who are vulnerable to this. Good news, children do not appear as vulnerable to this virus. Less vulnerable than to the normal flu.
So, that is good news, but 1.4 %, that’s extrapolating from China and other countries.
      80 %, it’ll resolve on their own.
The woman who has now tested positive, she’s at home, she’s not even in a hospital, so the perspective here is important.
And the facts, once you know the facts, once you know the reality, *it is reassuring, and we should relax,* because that’s what’s dictated by the reality of the situation. I get the emotion, I understand, I understand the anxiety. I’m a native-born NYer, we live with anxiety.
*But the facts don’t back it up here.*
Also, we’re extrapolating from what happened in China and other countries – we have the best health care system in the world here. And excuse our arrogance as NYers – I speak for the Mayor also on this one – *we think we have the best health care system on the planet right here in NY.*
So, when you’re saying, what happened in other countries versus what happened here, *we don’t even think it’s going to be as bad as it was in other countries.*
*We are fully coordinated, we are fully mobilized.* This is all about mobilization of a public health system – getting the testing done, getting the information out, and then having the health care resources to treat people who are going to need help.
Again that is going to be primarily senior citizens, people who are debilitated, and *we are going to have a special effort for our nursing homes,* etcetera – congregate facilities where senior citizens are being treated.”

  2. I’m glad we have some very intelligent scientists and medical personnel to tell us the truth about the matter. If we left it up to trump and his administration…we would be in even more trouble than we are today!

  3. Mulvany has zero integrity… I will take my advice from trained professionals, not corrupt political hacks.

  4. And let’s not forget the fact that these 100K deaths happened WITH extreme social distancing measures in place during much of the time. Imagine what the numbers would have been like without them.

    1. As hard as this is that was, and still is, the point: to help mitigate as many infections as we can and not overwhelm our healthcare facilities which happened in some places anyhow.

  5. Let’s send Trump’s kid to school , why the Trump family not in church or eating out at KFC?

  6. Funny how Mick says “this is no worse than the flu” from the safety of his own home, getting his food delivered and not being forced to go to work . 🤔

  7. The flu death rate is very misleading, the 61, 000 is an estimate of the death rate, not the actual recorded deaths. We are at 100,000 recorded deaths from COVID-19, which is a significant undercount. So COVID-19 could be as 100 times more deadly that the typical flu, much more on par with the 1918 pandemic.

  8. Another Trumpling strikes out on simple known facts. KingCOVID45 would have America believe the virus made us all stronger and those 100K+++++ were going to die very soon anyway. WINNING!!!

  9. People are ignoring simple math and science because a fool who can’t read, said too! 🙄

  10. “I won’t have time to play golf if I’m elected president,” Trump

“There are times to play[golf] and times that you can’t play. It sends the wrong signal,” – Trump

  11. The death rate for the flu, from the CDC web-site, is 20 per 1 million (estimated), the death rate from Covid-19 is 303 per 1 million. In NY it 1511 per million. These people who do this are lying slime.

  12. Don’t forget that the 100,000 Covid deaths are with social distancing. Imagine what would have happened in New York if the city had not been shut down.

  13. It’s SHOCKING that Mulvaney hold any office even janitor, has anyone pointed out to Mulvaney that 100,000 flu deaths in a year which did not shutdown for the flu is different to 150,000 COVID45 deaths in 3 months and that is with a lockdown imagine if America did not finally shutdown

  14. The country didnt shutdown due to the regular flu bc the 100,000 deaths didnt happen in 3 months like the Coronavirus.
