Testing should remain available after this pandemic to test for the next one. If Trump hadn’t thrown out the Obama pandemic playbook and fired the pandemic response teams out of jealousy of the Obama legacy America would have had a leg up on this disease and there would have been 70,000 deaths instead of almost 300,000 that we are coming up on. But that would required leadership from a man, who while holding the most powerful office on the planet, constantly claims he’s a victim. He’s 3 hundred pounds of dogs**t in a 10 pound suit. It cants help but get on other people.
In leadership, you don’t throw away your predecessor’s work no matter how much you hate them. Leadership suicide at its worst. 😭

@Bishop White If testing is available it can be altered to detect the next virus as soon as the DNA code is examined. Those vacant shelves that Trump keep complaining about were vacant because of a Republican Congress and Trump had three years to restock them had he chosen to do so. You people never cease to amaze me. When it dumping trillions into corporations and billionaires it’s full speed ahead but if one dime is proposed to help the people of this nation suddenly its not available.
My wife works in a hospital lab, and they are now testing everyone who comes in for anything.
Yeah it’s a profit deal the hospital here are empty.

I’m glad the vaccine is on its way and maybe more accessible testing, too. But neither of those bring back the dead or cure all of the suffering we’ve been through. It also doesn’t make up for the incompetence or indifference of many so-called “leaders” and the idiocy of the people who have cheered them on.
If we had dealt with the pandemic properly, with real leadership across the nation, how much less would it have cost us? Just how much has the cost of incompetence and denial been? And by the way, which medical professionals are going to have enough time to administer the vaccines? Don’t they lack time and personnel right now? This has been an insane year.
Unless they develop a vaccine for stupid none of this will change.
