The notion that all justice-seeking has to stop just because an election is happening will never make sense to me. Only in America! 🤦♀🤦♀
Or that the prosecution of officials should be avoided because it will “damage people’s faith in the institution”. Nope- the *criminal* *activity* is what damaged people’s faith in our institutions and the only way to restore that faith is to prove that there are consequences. Otherwise the next official will just do the same thing and worse. We can be so misguided that it’s scream worthy.
