I live in a town of 450 in Minnesota and just found out this morning that 2 ppl in town say they have corona but they won’t test them so they are under quarantine. So yeah IT”S NOT OVER! @Ly Don Stop suggesting that people who disagree don’t value human life, that’s despicable. What he means is that if we don’t at least partially open the country then the resulting depression will end more lives than the virus. Also, because people can’t get flu vaccines because they can’t see doctors, more people will die from the flu this year than normally would. We can’t just open the entire country instantly, but this virus isn’t going to go away and we can’t stay quarantined forever so we need a middle ground. Saying people who are on the other side of the issue don’t care about people dying won’t help us come up with a solution.

@Dre Walton it’s called a false positive…. Happens with every test… Even pregnancy tests. You do millions of tests and have a 99.9% success rate… That means there is still a ton of bad results.
There is literally no perfect test.

He’s supported anti-lockdown protests, which will help spread the virus, and already has one protest leader been confirmed to have Covid. He defended his support by falsely claiming the protesters were practicing social distancing.
He’s brought up the idea of testing disinfectant injections and UV light exposure as treatments for Covid. Then he lied by saying it was all sarcasm, which I can’t decide if it’s worse.
He’s encouraged people take an untested drug, against the opinions of experts, and has resulted in at least one death. He’s taken no responsability for it.
He claimed Covid was like the flu, that the numbers would go from 15 to zero, and that it would go away in April.
The US is behind many other countries in tests per 1,000 people. This is only explained by sheer incompetence.

Even now, Trump hasn’t started a national lockdown. He claims that the cure cannot be worse than the disease, essentially putting the economy above people’s lives. How can an economy function with a virus affecting the workforce? The virus has to first be controlled with a lockdown, buying time to ramp up testing and develop contact tracing.
