  1. We will only see the returns we desire once the students take responsibility for their education. Noticed she called every other stakeholder except the students! The teachers must pick their children, families, mortgage, and car payments. Love doesn’t pay the bills.

    1. Students and parents. Teachers are not the welfare state.
That woman obviously thinks the teachers are just wheels on the dog rather than persons.
All that virtue signalling is just hot air. Government needs to put in a working plan starting from basic school.
When I went to school students were held back if they didn’t perform and maths and english language were compulsory.

  2. When we not giving up, the politicians and them friend make all the money, great retirement and our teachers suffa, politicians and ur friends u all have to give

    1. That’s why France is setting a example for what Jamaicans afraid to do,block Jamaica house gate

    2. That’s why France is setting a example for what Jamaicans afraid to do,block Jamaica house gate

  3. She’s nuts. Don’t give up on the highest murder rate per capita with the Commissioner who has the team and the plan 😪

  4. Tell us about the$124 million that has disappeared and cannot be accounted for and the amounts before yet teachers are under paid.Stress and depress also frustrated count the amount died last year.

    1. I have a daughter in the system for the past30 yrs and I was also apart so I know what I saying 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

  5. Government do not fight their request, they ask for another 2 weeks, allow it. They will know what time it is after the 2 weeks. There are a lot of things we all have to pay for, car to fixed, car documents to be up to date, utilities and other household amenities. So, allow the 2 weeks

  6. when u get a traffic ticket and they give u a date to pay it there’s no way around it only in Jamaica them foolury happen in any other country and u don’t pay on the deadline u gonna lose yo license

  7. At no time the parents are held accountable… Teachers are always blamed for the students downfalls… Students have a right to education and parents are responsibility to ensure the make every effort to provide the students with the necessary tools needed for learning and also support their children…

Teachers are responsible for teaching the students the curriculum as well as morals and values that would make them worthwhile citizens that will add to the development of our country and not be a part of the problems…

If each individual has a fair conscience then we should already have solve part of the problem…

    1. A very rare but important perspective, this one! Teachers do have limits and the formula is a mix of ingredients. I personally believe that the many mobile devices that parents are just handing over to the children, without parental controls enabled, are shortening their attention span and learning capacity. I have seen evidence first hand with my child and had to step in!

  8. Ask Ruel Reid if the money went into EDUCATION. This woman is crazy IIf I was a teacher I would take the wings of the morning.

  9. The way the education system is moving will ensure the equity and equality she allegedly is seeking. All the students will be at the same low performing levels.

  10. After they treat teachers so bad they want them 2 stay in a system that brings them 2 beg in the streets. Teachers unno leave n go where unno will b respected n unno quality of life will b better….Jamaica is down in a quagmire….very evil place.

  11. Ah….I like her budget vs return remarks, because it’s high time we the people examine the GOVERNMENT through the same lens.

  12. Why is everyone seeking for an opportunity to attack teacher? Teachers taxes exceed that of many “tax payers”. No need to tell us how much of taxpayers dollars going into education. I for one does not benefit directly from that which goes in “human resources .” In fact, I should be allowed to bill the moe for the lunches, pencils, scrapbooks, taxi fares, printed worksheets and other resources I provide out of my pocket for students every week. Enough.

  13. The Prime Minister might love for the transportation people to pay their fines and registration fees, but he is not in love with the transportation people. And as it pertains to the teachers, if the government does not want teachers to leave for greener pastures, pay them better. The government needs to put its money where its mouth is.
