Over 3,000 daily deaths the last time I checked. Guys keep safe

    • steve marshall | December 23, 2020 at 7:29 PM | Reply

      they all wore masks

    • The Insane Shecklador | December 23, 2020 at 9:37 PM | Reply

@steve marshall Not all of them wore masks. Masks are not 100% effective but they do help. Without masks the death toll would be much higher.

If Mike Tyson punches you in the head your odds of getting knocked out go down if you put your hands up and block. Yes there’s a good chance you will get KO’d but your odds of staying awake are better than if you leave your hands down at your side.

It’s the same with masks. Not 100% protection but much better than nothing.

Another thing to note is masks are better at preventing an asymptomatic COVID person from spreading the virus to you than they are at protecting you from the spreader. That’s why we all need to wear them.

This covid mess & economic crisis is all Donald tRump fault! He is a threat to National Security & each & everyone one of us! January 21st can’t come soon enough!

    • @Drake Fire It’s kinda like what high school teachers do. They love punishing the whole class for 1 students Misbehavior. It’s not fair that we and the rest of the world have to pay the price for China’s misbehavior. We should be allowed to live our normal life as nothing is going on. Lockdowns are punishing us for something we didn’t do.

    • Very True!

    • @Justin T If you really think a deadly disease is anything like school, then pardon me while I laugh. Even more so when you whine about “fairness”.

Life isn’t fair, and it’s never been fair. Grow up.

Only 653 hrs. now left remaining until January 20th/2021 when Donald tRump is officially fired, given the boot & shown the door!

  6. Yup, people are being as smart as they can be. Pretty low bar.

  7. Arlansas had 24% positively yesterday. We are averaging 40 deaths a day. Gov. Asa Hutchinson has done very little to help. Now trumpy dumpy has blocked our relief. We are a ignorant state with poor leadership. Stop interviewing our governor , unless you plan to hold him accountable .

The best gift is to stay put because Covid’s gift tag says ” Open me first”

January after the holidays…will be awful!!! Then…sorry…they knew better but ignored it!!! Shame on them all!!!

A friend was asking me what my plans were for Christmas. I told them stay home and not celebrate. They then asked if it was because someone in my family had COVID and I told them no and we intend to keep it that way. That seemed to catch them off guard.

I’m guessing there will be a lot of unhappy people in the coming weeks and a lot of busy morticians.

@The Insane Shecklador i assume he thought you were intelligent…caught him off guard

    • @tim baldwin maybe for you. Not for me at 64 and an autoimmune disorder but hey have fun. Just SD, wash hands and mask up to protect yourself n others. I’m not a killjoy just sensible. I’ll wait till this is over to party like 2019.

    • @Colleen Mayes he does. Thank you for ‘getting’ it. Stsy safe.

  11. Our strategy has amounted to ‘ ph*ck it.’ A lot of families are going to have an unwelcome guest over Christmas.

  12. No need for the doctor to shame the travellers because like Trump they have no shame or conscience!

  13. The only threat to mental health in the US is the psychological abuse being heaped on them by Trump and McConnell with their games over American’s health and financial well-being. Scorched earth politics, delving into reality head games, and toying with people on the verge of homelessness and nutritional deprivation. These two men are true sociopaths.

  14. I wonder if we Americans will ever get used to intelligent, articulate and apparently decent people doing their best for us after 4 years of lying crooks doing their worst for us and their best for themselves?

  15. it wa said “we need to have a national strategy ” what you need is a NATIONAL LEADER WHO CARES .

  16. It appears that people are at least starting to take this seriously and are taking precautions. I just hope that more do!

  17. Hey mom I’m bringing covid home with me this year so looking forward to seeing you. Take care.

  18. Yes, let’s not shame those committing attempted murder with their holiday travel. When your loved one has a heart attack or a traumatic injury, let’s not shame those responsible for overwhelmed hospitals when all emergency health care suffers a catastrophic insufficiency.

  19. Bad message, doctor! Most people DO NOT have to travel, but do. You’re too lenient.

  20. “The middle part of the country,” you mean all the Republican RED states that voted for Trump? Meanwhile, liberal California with the most inhumane, ridiculous restrictions has by far the worst surge. How do you explain that, doctor?
