Dr. Fauci warns ‘football may not happen this year’

Dr. Anthony Fauci told CNN's Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta: "Unless players are essentially in a bubble — insulated from the community and they are tested nearly every day — it would be very hard to see how football is able to be played this fall.”

    1. Lol. We quit watching your political NFL shenanigans 3 to 4 years ago. Go kneel on a fallen soldier

    1. Hmmm, protesting for equal rights vs. Sports. Hardly the same playing field. And by the way, the same concerns were shared for the protest as well. Get the hell off YouTube and watch the actual news or read articles.

    2. Kman8962 irrelevant… we’re talking about the spread of the virus. The thousands of protesters gathering for weeks now is a huge contributor to the uptick in cases. “bars and restaurants” reopening are hardly factors lol not to mention they’re essential

    3. @Dylan160w BARS RESTAURANTS BARBER SHOPS GYMS AND NAIL SALONS ARE NOT ESSENTIAL

      PROTESTING AGAINST BRUTALITY IS

    1. @The Engineers best place on earth to live. Desantis is doing a great job here during the pandemic. He didn’t put infected COVID pts in nursing homes. He protected our most vulnerable.

    2. I’m here. Loving it. Doors and top off the Jeep. Boat in the water. Old people die as usual. Life is good

    3. Sheila Brubaker 🧐 isn’t Florida the new epicenter for the virus 😂🤣 good luck 👍

    4. @The Engineers fake news. Make no doubt about it u can get testing literally anywhere here in florida with no symptoms. Number of positive diagnosis is going up but it means the death rate has been trending down. Our infected rate is going up but percentage of dead is decreasing. Desantis has done a terrific job. Florida’s definitely enjoying life right now. Weve been open for months. Hell they had 3 ufc events in florida. And now that trump wants to rally here and the other one I forget they want to.claim numbers are spiking. Its so predictable and u guys fall for it everytime

    1. @Alfred Cohen you’re the white supremacist. I believe Everone can get the things they want. If you believe only white people get the white supremacist. If you can’t, I’m sure somebody will help you. Most people are caring and giving. Don’t blame your failure on somebody else. There’s plenty of people in this world who fail and there’s not one single white person around. White people aren’t your problem

    1. @Daisie D Jesus Christ, apostle Peter, Mary and Joseph, and many other others in the bible, paid temple tax. These bogus and Christian Organizations are taking the taxpayer for a ride, and the IRS.

  1. Drop of youth football out of fear of injury and concussions. Sport is riddled with players who beat their spouses. Tickets cost as much as a car. And now a season without football… You can see better games on XBox… Doesn’t look good.

    1. @Jeff Schmeganheiman Well some of the most watched and cheered sports professionals in the US, are barely paid anything if at all, and among non-uni/college athletes, the vast majority of them can’t make a living from it. But they do it for their love of it. Same for all the non-pro kids, teens and adults that do it non-professionally.

Traditional sports are great things. The non-player-compensation money in higher tiers, not so much. Hopefully those things can be cleaned up some, but it shouldn’t come at the cost of the sports and players.

    2. Football is not a sport in America. It is far bigger. It is a lifestyle, people build their schedules around the games so to say football is not a big deal when it is a very big part of people’s lives is not right. It needs to happen or I will tell u suicides will go up and I am not joking it is that big. Put on the pads and u will know what it is like and how it builds relationships and prepares for the real world. The team work, respect, friendships it is bigger than a sport.

    3. Agreed ,just think how much money ,the average fan could have ,they could have a vacation ,car or home ,like those so called professionals & money in the bank people spend alot of cake for the bullshit entertainment of professional sports ,let’s ,boycott sports for a season or 2 to prove the point

    4. @pr0xZen agreed. Some of the most hardcore athletics are simply not on stage. Swimmers, wrestlers, cross country skiers.

    1. BET 85 and dont forget pointless indoor trumpf worship rallies of 60k with noone wearing masks.. those are good too right?

    2. True! And this includes all levels of competition, from pee-wee to the pros.
Many University of Michigan football fans want to sit in a fully packed Big House this upcoming fall with no restrictions.
I don’t want The Big House to turn into The Covid House!

  2. Soooo my friend and I were just talking about this 10 min ago and came to the same conclusion 😬

    1. Modern sports are watered d oil won, its entertainment ,give men the smash mouth jaw breaking killer instinct football ,when men where men ,they played cause they liked the game and e ,Johnny U ,Sunny J ,Mean Joe ,Jack Lambert ,Bruce Laird the bad boys of football ,those dudes you said Sir to plus they had regular jobs in their community all great men ,modern players are a bunch of pussycats

    2. kodiisapanther panter well they’ll have unemployment benefits if they apply for! What is wrong with making millionaires relaxing in workers income for u…. year or more?

    3. @Jeddy Wilkinson You’re opinion is just dumb, you are probably someone that has lacked any sports ability ever, and it shows.

    1. @Ines Flores Exactly so after those Co-VID19 rallies they all should get tested and do the 14 day quarantine.

    2. @brady chick I would say you are duped by the left vs right paradigm. Please throw away your tv programming boxes. Snap out of it. Were under attack from all angles.

    3. @Ines Flores if rioting and protesting and spitting all over each other while screaming is ok I think we can play football
