@JJ LinuxFan i was a pipe welder but that pipeline shouldn’t be there, nor should coal miners complain that there’s no new mines nor coal fired power plants. New jobs will be created in a changing world, willing or not. A good trades person will always find work, just not always where he wants it and myself worked away from home for years to provide. Not many might drive electrical yet but it’d be silly not to see the change coming fast
@Jaak Savat Hi Jack, thanks for sharing your thought about that project. I used to be a welding inspector – so I understand that some jobs really require working away from home. I am not for the pipeline, I just feel sorry for the folks who are not so young who are about to lose their jobs. Because employers often would prefer younger ones, so it becomes harder for middle-aged ones to find new jobs. Yes , Electric is the future – cars are already moving in that direction.
