He just said there might be an approved vaccine before a special date. FYI: The patient in question is reported to have contracted *transverse myelitis” — NOT meningitis. Secondly it’s a bit rich blaming the party which is not in charge of the executive branch for the incompetence of Trump’s administration, don’t you think?
Trump totally called Covid a hoax and downplayed its seriousness as many Americans died on his watch. He refused to activate the DPA for the production of respirators and ventilators but did for the processing of meat, endangering workers in meat processing plants and outbreaks in Covid that could have been avoided. He forced cities and states to have to compete against each other and FEMA for Personsl Protective Equipment (PPE) increasing the cost of PPE at tax payers expense needlessly. When he finally did provide PPE from the national stockpile, many of the units were useless because they had aged out. Trumps administration had control of the stockpile since January 2017, the PPE (respirators) are good for 5 years, that means that Trumps personnel likely had not done any turnover for years. None of the PPE should have expired, they are supposed to be ordered and the old inventory rotated out to prevent that. You can’t blame the party not in charge for that, its all on Trumps administration.
He’s discouraged wearing masks and has not required either masks or social distancing at his rallies and the RNC. He downplays the needless loss of life and us trying to make it seem as if Covid is behind us AND ITS NOT.
Last but not least, its the Federal Government’s duty to support the states, which under Trumps administration, it has not. If the Federal government won’t support the states then why do we even have it? What’s the point of paying Federal income taxes if we are going to get the finger from the administration? We pay into the system so that in time of need we can get help. At least if Biden is president I can have faith that he’ll be competent. Based on Trumps abysmal failures I have no confidence whatsoever that he can get the job done.

@22 Veterans A Day But, it takes anywhere from 4 to 15 years to do a proper study on medicine to be approved for use. It has been less than 6 months. This vaccine has not gone through proper rigor, which is required for a research trial. I don’t care who is in office, if 4 years, at the least, this vaccine haven’t gone through the proper protocol, I am NOT taking it.
Smart woman. I was a child when they came out with the polio vaccine. The first vaccine was rushed. My father refused to allow us to get vaccinated. I am thankful he didn’t as many children died, developed polio, or had serious side-effects from it. They later came out with a second vaccine that was safer. My father still did not trust it but it was required by law or we couldn’t go to school.
The first vaccine was implemented without adequate testing and were actually completing the trials on children to determine if it was safe. Today’s vaccine has not been properly tested either and its efficacy will be assessed AFTER they inject people. You will be the guinea pigs, get paid for it, and you will be expected to be grateful because you got the vaccine free. All this so one man can look good and be re-elected.
To this day , there is still no vaccine for either of the other malignant Coronavirus strains….think about that. Anybody who is stupid enough to inject a vaccine that is clearly being rushed through for political reasons, deserves what they get. Think hard about this before u make any life altering moves. Trump has rushed us to reopen, and look at the situation we’re in now. He also rushed us back into schools, and that’s not going well either. And, we knew, WE KNEW that it was too early, yet we listened to a venal nightmare ho has lied to us way more often than he’s told the truth. Please, use caution everybody.

Side effects don’t always show up in 5 minutes.
It usually takes 7-10 years (or more) for a vaccine to be approved. Just look at vaccines like the early measles vaccine, the polio vaccine, early smallpox vaccines, and thalidomide was not a vaccine but an injected medicine none the less. Some of the effects are downright scary. My child had serious issues resulting from the MMR vaccine and is not allergic to eggs, my good friends child suffered days of seizures and is permanently changed resulting from the pertussis vaccine. All this to say, ” stay safe and well, everyone.”

They will probably dole it out at the VA and on the Indian Reservations to gather the data on its safety.. Like I said before, my dad refused to have us inoculated. with the first polio vaccine. Those that did had severe reactions including contracting polio and some died. They recalled it when they found how dangerous it was. The second vaccine was released a year later; it was much safer.,
