that’s how communicable diseases work. If we had a sane president, we could be testing entire populations and often enough to be sure everyone is healthy or being treated away from the healthy. Then you could go outside and not worry. But we don’t and he hasn’t.

@Kar That article is from March 30th. Since that time, actually preceding it, thousands of additional labs have been opened for testing through deregulation. I called my local hospital a month ago and they said should I present with relevant symptoms, pass a screening by a nurse and doctor over the phone, I could qualify to be tested. The problem is if anybody is allowed to be tested, you’re gonna have 20 million Karens wanting themselves and their kids tested every 3 days.

Going by this, if twenty percent of the US population gets this virus, that is around seventy million people. With a two percent mortality rate you would be looking at 1.4 million dead, that isn’t anything to be optimistic about.
