  1. I don’t think it was a slip at all. I believe that as of at least April 17th when he tweeted “Liberate Michigan”, that has been his goal. He knows if he uses the words “Herd immunity”, he’ll have immediate backlash, just as he did at the beginning of the pandemic when he posed it as a response. So, instead, he uses “herd mentality”……he’s done it several times now. This wasn’t the first.

    1. I couldn’t agree more ! Ever since that tweet I realized with horror that we’were o our own . I was telling friends we were being betrayed, and when the Woodward tapes came out it was exactly what I thought. He never believed this was some hoax and yet chose to put that out there and he chose to ignore all the science that could have helped us contain it. He is deliberately pushing for schools and rallies to go on as usual , that is his plan to speed up the herd immunity at the cost of our lives. You’d have to be completely numb to not see this . We’ve become hostages . And no hope for vaccine for a long time, btw.

    2. Herd immunity will happen no matter what. It’s plain dumb to destroy an economy to try and stop a virus that can’t be stopped.

  2. When I see every Trump Family member and Whitehouse employee get vaccinated on live television I will wait to see what happens to them and then wait some more. Trump knows his base have herd mentality. Just ask Devin’s Cow. Mooooooooooooo! They are stupid but they still won’t take a vaccination on Trump’s say so.

    1. What makes you think that the administration wouldn’t line up on stage and get injected with placebo and then claim they are immune with no side effects? He doesn’t even have the intellectual capacity to understand what a placebo is so he will claim that the placebo is a miracle drug..sad..

  3. MSNBC, keep these medical professionals who are willing to tell the truth in the forefront of your postings, Fauci has been hamstrung and it’s getting air time anymore.
And the Republican party is already in a herd mentality, they are like lemmings and will follow trump anywhere he tells them to go including to their deaths.

    1. @Mark Grudt He gets tested, as well as everyone who comes near him. It will go away, when we’re all dead and there is no one else to infect. So he is correct. I hope he’s volunteering himself and his family to start herd immunity.

    1. OptimusOne
Never heard the guy before,, ( UK) here,,, but he looks like a crook to me ! how can a Medical Doctor be so Obese !? has he learned nothing at all as a Medic ?

    2. @keirfree senior He’s supposedly the “head” of the CDC but he’s too afraid to say something that might offend Trump. He is a doctor, unfortunately!

  4. Trumps brain is mush, spewing out word soups, does he think on any given topic”what would a normal person do? I’m doing the opposite then”lies, lies, lies.

    1. Of course he did. Science tells us the virus isnt going anywhere – vaccine or no vaccine, it will be a feature of daily life for years if not decades. The only thing that can change that fact is willful self-delusion. If enough people develop herd mentality, it wont matter what the virus does – as long as we refuse to pay attention to our eyes and ears, it cant affect us.

    1. @Mox Avenger Do you really think that millions of Americans dying in the next year or two eon’t tank our economy even further>
      You sir, are a moron…

    2. @John Keith Life is a risky thing. You can’t save everybody and the Government has no right to destroy people’s businesses, their entire life’s work in some cases. The entire lockdown was a sham. Remember 15 days to stop the spread? We have watched politicians move the goalposts for months on COVD, and all to get the rather senile Joe Biden elected. If you don’t understand the politics of this entire sham than you are misinformed. Lockdowns are a violation of our God given rights as outlined in the Constitution.

    3. The rights granted in the US Constitution are not “God given”, but determined, agreed upon, and granted legal status by human beings. Rights are a social and political construct and conferred within social, political, and economic conditions, privileges, and constraints. They may be granted or revoked at any time, and all of this is ideally by the consent of the governed.
If government oversteps its boundaries by mandating closures ( a point that is debatable in times of crisis but still I take your concerned point), it even further violates liberties by mandating that schools open etc…, or funding shall be withheld.
Government exists as a servant of the people, and has a role to play in supporting citizens during times of crisis. Life is full of risks, but we do exercise law and order when and where health and safety are concerned. Legal limits to speeding are just an example, as are safe food handling regulations in restaurants etc… . We live in a society, and other countries have shown us how moderate restrictions to your “ individual liberties” can be life sparing, and restore economies sooner as well (think Taiwan, New Zealand…).

    4. Mox Avenger God given right? You think God had something to do with the constitution? You gotta be a trumpster. Haha

    5. LivtheDream brilliantly put. I commend you for mentioning we are supposed to be living in a society. That’s been forgotten by many

  5. “Herd immunity” is not a strategy. Going for herd immunity is exactly the same as doing nothing about the virus.

    1. Trump is well known for making empty claims, after expending no effort, except to LIE.
When entrusted to be Leader, if you fail as Trump has, it DEMANDS Prosecution and Punishment.
Trump let over 200,000 die, while he bunkered down. The Coward should be imprisoned for Genocide.

  6. Trump: “I’m safe, I’m on stage, I’m far from people, I’m tested regularly”

Good luck to the rest of the herd!
