🙄 Okay. 1. They said not to use N95 masks due to shortages and prioritized them for health professionals. 2. It is a novel coronavirus (novel means new/unseen) so they needed to research mode of transmission as well as how long it lasted in saliva droplets that are expelled during cough/talking as well as size of virus and how long it can remain on different surfaces (porous, nonporous). 3. The scientific method leaves room to change direction based on new information from scientific findings, such as any mask will keep the rate of transmission down if EVERYONE wears one. Ffs i don’t understand why soo many of you cry over a little mask. It is the same people that try to force a vaginally probe up women who need an abortion. Science is necessary and is not the enemy.
