Dr. Peter Hotez: ‘We Have No Choice But To Vaccinate Our Way Out Of This’ | Deadline | MSNBC

  1. Slow COVID vaccine rollout means I will be using Ivermectin and I-MASK+ protocol (flccc.net) to protect my family during this time. Could be another 6 months before it is my turn to get a vaccine.

  2. We need really strategic deployment of vaccine- info from contact tracers would be helpful, so we can see where the least number of vaccine can be used to shield the greatest number of people

  3. Trump has two parts of a brain: ‘left’ and ‘right’.

In the left side there’s nothing right.
And in the right side there’s nothing left.

  4. I’m sure that when we have hearings about the federal response, we’ll finally prove what we’ve all known all along: that t’rump and his clown car of idiots could have done a lot more to save lives and out of sheer laziness and incompetence, failed.

  5. Studies coming out of Spain show 80% who died from COVID had severe vitamin D deficiency. Those most likely to have vitamin D deficiency varies by latitude. Most people synthesize their vitamin D from the sun. Generally the following article says that spending 5-30 minutes in the sun 2x a week between 10am-4pm helps with arms, legs, face exposed helps with vitamin D. In northern latitudes , areas with smog, cloud cover and those in winter seasons (due to the sun being tilted away from their part of the planet) are most likely to not be getting enough vitamin D from the sun. People aged 0-12 months should be getting 400iu of vitamin d a day, ages 1-70 should be getting 600iu a day and those over 70 should be getting 800iu. LOCKING people inside and telling them to stay indoors could make this WORSE.

Those most likely to have have a vitamin d deficiency are asian americans, african americans and hispanic americans especially in higher latitudes. African Americans in the US are shown to have 50% lower levels of vitamin D than white americans in their blood. Others at risk for vitamin D deficiency are those who spend a lot of time indoors (office workers, the institutionalized), wear long dresses or religious head coverings (because it covers the skin), those in prisons or detention centers (due to diet and not going outside enough), the elderly (whose skin is not as efficient at producing vitamin d than younger age groups), men, the obese (because vitamin D is fat soluble and may decrease absorption) and
those who eat vegan/vegetarian diet, have colitis or chrons are lactose intolerant or have celiacs disease because of absorption/dietary issues as well.

The NIH recommends 400 iu of vitamin d daily for those 0-12 months, 600 iu for those 1-70 yrs old and 800 iu for those 70+.
    IU= International Units

They also say there are amounts of vitamin D people should not exceed such as 1500 iu for those 0-12 months, 2500-3000 iu for children 1-8 and 4,000iu for children 9 and older, adults, pregnant and lactating women.

The following sources have more info about dietary sources of vitamin D and levels.

There are at home tests you can buy online to test your vitamin d levels.

  6. All the hospitals have been closed and replaced with over priced condos that are always empty. That’s capitalism.

  7. Set up stadiums, drive-thrus, school gyms, etc. get creative. Train army corps to give shots or others and have some doctors on standby for reactions. Get creative and mobilize like a war effort!

  8. Dr. Pierre Kory a pulmonologist from UW Madison testified before congress that the generic, nobel prize winning 40 yr old drug antiparasitic, widely available drug Ivermectin treats covid as well as salt water/ povidone iodine (betadine) diluted gargles help cure covid if given at the right time/used correctly in early treatment. Ivermectin became a generic drug in 1996 when merck’s patent expired. It costs around $7.00 a pill with prescription. Currently in clinical trials in the US. But the Bolivian and Trinidadian governments are already passing it out to their citizens door to door and directing them how to use it and dosage. FLCCC-Frontline COVID critical care alliance has shown that the drug remdesivir does not work at any phase for covid and neither does hydroxychloroquine. The only drugs that showed benefit were interferon b (very early) and ivermectin (at every phase including as a prophylactic).

Dr. Korey stated: “It will all be needless death from here on out, given that there is a readily available, scientific solution to the pandemic.”

FDA needs to approve Ivermectin immediately for COVID, start mass production and give healthcare providers guidelines. Several doctors already used for their patients since April. Not a silver bullet but has helped many and could save many more lives. The drug is on the WHO list of essential medicines. It has been used around the world 3.7 billion times and is so safe it is sold over the counter in South American countries and administered to illiterate populations with simple training. Stop suppressing the truth.

COVID can be broken down into 4 phases of disease:
    I. Days 1-5: incubation phase
    II. Days 6-11 symptomatic phase
III. Days 12-14 early pulmonary phase
IV. Days 15-28 late pulmonary phase

Also according to several doctors, after day 5 the virus has stopped replicating in the body and the patient is thus no longer shedding virus and not contagious.

timing is key and people need to monitor symptoms and know what to do when, your job is the educate the public not to be a commercial for pharma companies.

The truth is that we may never get to herd immunity with covid because people can become reinfected with it. Herd immunity occurs with viruses you can only get once. The other truth about COVID is that testing is irrelevant because it is an airborne virus. It can live in the air for 3 hours. So if you test negative and walk into some covid floating in the air and it infects you through your eyes (yes covid often starts out as conjunctivitis) nose or mouth you will then be positive. A person simply breathing is expelling a billion viral particles into the air. Take your vitamins. Eat healthy, exercise. Businesses should add HEPA filters to their ventilation systems. People should get humidifiers for their homes and wear masks to reduce viral load. The only way we are going to get out of this is through wide education campaigns about what drugs to ask our doctor for and when, early recognition of symptoms and at home treatment and widespread distribution of effective antiviral drugs. The h1n1 flu pandemic was widely quelled with the drug tamiflu. The best thing we can do is to make sure that even if this is a sickness you get, you can recover and not pass away and to treat you quickly, not to prevent you from getting sick at all.

Once these measures are in place we must open society again. COVID is not going away but we can make it less virulent. You are looking for complicated solutions to a simple problem (a virus) which is simply RNA covered in a lipid sheath. The more time that goes by the more we know how to treat the virus but you need to tell the public to seek treatment from doctor early (days 1-5 of symptoms).

It sucks but this is the hard truth of the illness. All coronaviruses throughout history started this way then became less deadly with time. The difference is now that we have antivirals.

  9. The mortality in the US is 1 out of 1000 which means that 99.9 percent of the US has survived this spamdemic. You need to eat. Shove your dinner into an enema bag, shove it up your butt. Oh, and wash your hands and be safe.

  10. I am a layman, and I may get pummeled, but can’t we hv every pharmaceutical co., set aside manufacturing time to produce this?

  11. I want to be vaccinated. In fact The majority on the frontlines want vaccinated. We see congress and politicians families getting vaccinated while we’re still wearing spacesuits and praying that any cold or other illness is not Covid 19. We also pray that our employer doesn’t tell us to sit at home because of contact tracing.if so we’re forced into quarantine using our accumulated time. The USA Cares Act doesn’t protect us. So!
Basically, we’re told that we are to provide care and not receive care!!!
