Where was your defense of the American people when Trump advised them to inject the bleach and swallow UV lights, but he received the best care himself? We made a road trip from Texas to Southern Colorado at the end of August. 4 of us – living in the same house….Here’s what we did to stay as safe as possible:
– Brought tons of facemasks, hand sanitizer and lysol spray
– Stayed only at clean “motel” Type places – where you drive up to your room, so not walking through lobbies, halls or elevators. If it didn’t look clean, we didn’t stay..Not many people stayed at the places. The week before Labor Day, not many people on the road.
– It was mandatory to use facemasks at most gas stations, stores and public places. Didn’t go to those places very much and didn’t stay long if we did….in and out in 15 min. Again, not many people.
– Packed sandwiches and our own food for snacks (fruit, yogurt, cheese, etc)..or drive-thru/take out We ate outside, away from others …..or had food delivered or brought it to our motel room to eat.
– Spent as much time as possible Outdoors. Away from people as much as possible…if crowded, we didn’t go.We enjoyed rivers, hot springs, lakes, parks, etc..
– Washed our hands A LOT and used hand sanitizer all the time…..
Luckily….we are all OK. But will probably stay home for Thanksgiving and Christmas, only because the weather can get bad……..Road trips can be safe if you plan accordingly.
I am very glad you were able to travel and stay safe using wise precautions, and had a great time. I just got a flu shot yesterday to be more prepared should Covid and the flu reappear in large numbers at the same time.

If you shut down everything because a virus is floating around and you almost destroy the economy, how can you back out? I got it, we will say I was wrong about the mask, you can travel freely, go to work and open your business if you wear a mask. STAY HOME.
