  1. I’m surprised that there isn’t a warning system in a dump truck to tell him he’s travelling fast with the bed raised.

    1. There actually is such a system. It’s called a rear view mirror. Look into it regularly and you’ll see when things are not as they should be.

  2. It happens a lot. Dump truck operators need to have these pto drive units cleaned and checked daily so they are not corroded or covered in dirt so they don’t engage accidentally. Also the electrical connections inside the cab need to be regular check spots to reduce the issue. Those trucks go up and down several times a day it is only a matter of time when the parts wear out or be corroded.
