Elaine Chao first Trump Cabinet member to resign in wake of riot

Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao said in a statement that she is resigning, becoming the first Cabinet member to leave the administration in the wake of President Donald Trump's response to a mob of his supporters breaching the US Capitol.
"It has been the honor of a lifetime to serve the U.S. Department of Transportation," she tweeted, with a statement on the resignation.
In the statement, addressed to the agency she led, Chao wrote that she will resign effective Monday and was "deeply troubled" by the "entirely avoidable" events at the Capitol building.
"I am tremendously proud of the many accomplishments we were able to achieve together for our country and I will never forget the commitment you have for this Department and the United States of America," her statement continued.

  1. This shouldn’t even be up for discussion. You don’t tell domestic terrorists you love them while wrapping it in the lies that perpetrated these actions to begin with. Invoke the 25th Amendment now and every politician who helped enable this disgusting behavior should be removed from office.

    1. @Anonymous Person I agree, as much as many Americans would love to see him removed, including myself , trump supporters will be enraged. I’m worried they are going to cause a problem on Inauguration Day.

    2. Invoke the 25th Amendment –> Guaranteed Civil War.
I’m ok with it. I like the idea of killing Demonrat scum.

  2. These “enablers” are leaving the party when it’s time to help clean up. They enjoyed the “fun” but now they wanna leave.

    1. @TrumPutin. That Trump Stank can never be removed from the skin. Everything he is involved in….DIES👹

    2. @Yeti W Their actions speak for themselves. That you’re unable to see that is on YOU, not me.

      Anything else?

    3. So anyone working for a bad boss should just quit and leave their employees at an idiots mercy, life is not the simple.

    1. @Dale Thomas Chao was naturalized in 1972 as a US citizen when she was 19 years old. Her youngest sister, Angela, has been the CEO and Chair of the Foremost Group since 2008 and founded by James SC Chao and headquartered in New York City. In April 2008 after the death of her mother, Chao’s father gave Chao and McConnell between $5 million and $25 million, which “boosted McConnell’s personal worth from a minimum of $3 million in 2007 to more than $7 million” and “helped the McConnells after their stock portfolio dipped in the wake of the financial crisis that year”.

    1. @Kas AussieInTexasUSA In concert with an antiChrist MABUS, mentioned by Nostradamus. MABUS is Mohammed Bin Salman, and the world has been duped.

  3. They know they’re all going to be investigated and they’ve all been stealing cookies out the cookie jar, Don’s story is deeper then American Gangster and The God Father ! 😳

    1. Biden and Garland will not pursue any Federal charges.
Biden is not that guy, and Garland has a truckload of baggage.
Harris, on the other hand, would cut off his balls if let loose!!!

    2. @johnson tulong 🤔 BTW, if Harris had not become the Vice President, she would have been a great Attorney General. 👍🤘🏽

    1. She’s protecting her family’s shipping companies. The CCP-controlled banks finances their ships and the crews. The McConnells and the Bidens get along fine as long as Xi wants them to.

  4. So brave of her to leave her job 2 weeks early. Impeach him so he loses his pension, as he has done to others.

  5. Mrs and Mr Mitchell: Yes you obviously didn’t need the 2,000 but lot of us do.
    PEOPLE Will never forget 😡
