  1. Years ago I wrote both Warren and Sanders basically saying if they ran for POTUS they’d have my vote. Seeing both of them in the race has been great. But now there’s only one good progressive candidate left, hopefully the Democrats don’t screw up and pick Biden. Obama won on hope and change. Bernie is the one who best emulates that.

    1. Midge Curreri
You can read all his policy online. On the Issues. Or on his website. He has a robust policy

    2. These quarreling corrupt co-opted parties fail us. What will it take to discipline them, both Democrat and Republican? Walk out all you persons of integrity. No more the lesser of two evils. With a third party, with no more revolving doors, nor big campaign pack money. What other motivation to win than be forced to do the work to offer what the majority of Americans need? To make coalition and compromise with all points of view on a nationwide forum is the real democracy.. Petty power plays within the parties betrays us, it is the current curse upon us.

    3. It is a shame she stabbed Bernie in the back because they would have made a great team. And if Bernie croaked she would be POTUS

  2. 16:00 people nowadays need to come to terms with the fact that its ok for people to think differently to you, humans aren’t a hivemind, people are different and that’s a REALLY good thing as now if you cant think of something maybe someone else can becuare you dont think alike, like that song you have been trying all day to remember the name of.

    1. By the way these two hens carry on, it only applies to Bernie Sanders and his supporters. Nice way to “bring people together” there. That’s exactly the kind of attitude that’ll make more people stay home and not vote or just leave the top selection blank on the ballot.

    2. William Esselman you are living in a delusion, nothing that they advocate for is even socialism, but social democracy

    1. @Howard G we were in a revolution long before 2016 but Bernie gives hope for a political one rather than a physical one… Both parties are the peoples/democracies enemy.. Warren is for herself

    2. @gail1984 he’s not a socialist lmao, his tax brackets are less than Canada’s (where I live especially Quebec) and we still have rich and we still have poor but one thing that’s guaranteed whether you’re rich or poor, you and your children can go to school up to the college level for pennies, you can also take your family rich or poor to the hospital for 0$. need a checkup?0$, need a small operation?0$, need a big operation?0$, small medicine cost which dwarf USA medicine cost by a landslide. People still own beautiful cars with beautiful houses the only difference is you have to settle for a Mercedes instead of a Lamborghini.

    3. @0IIIIII Actually Yale and Harvard have done studies on medicare for all and laid out how we would pay for it. Sanders has laid this out as well, in longer interviews when he has time. It would save the citizens about 6 trillion over 10 years. You should look up Bernie on Joe Rogan. He lays it all out clearly

    4. Find anyone outside of America in a major country who wants to replace their healthcare system with the american system. Try to find any advocate for the american healthcare system that is not on the payroll of the healthcare industry! WAKE UP AMERICA!

    5. Kal- Jaysean Where are these studies? And what about the private industries which will bleed this system and waste money?

  3. Sanders and Warren would be a great ticket. I hope they put their differences aside and join forces.

    1. *I want a woman VP too* just NOT Hillary 2.0 (ahem Warren), NOT Klobuchar, NOT Harris, NOT Gillibrand… that covers them all, I think 😪 😪 😪

    2. Why would Warren join Sanders? Sanders will never get his policies through a Republican senate. And most of the gains in the Midterms were by Moderate Democrats. The nation doesn’t want Sanders

    3. johnny rotten corrupt how? Biden won states, Sanders won states, it’s not corrupt at all. You’re just mad Sanders lost

  4. Our only hope to bring back the separation of commercial banks and investment banks, i.e., Glass – Steagall, and to depart from the cyclical boom-bust economy.

    1. Investing for Tomorrow : 💯 #Bernie #Warren should be #SecretaryofTreasury ❤️✊🏾🌎✌🏾

  5. The last sentence from Rachel, before the short stint with Bailey – yeah, what Rachel said. Sigh!

    1. @KentBalzer well we have a current president who oversees a policy that illegally detains asylum seekers strips them of their rights then separates them from their children in a modern day genocide. We have a president who disregards the treaties we constitutionally must adhere to since they are the supreme law of the land, but her ancestors inform your choice to support this lawless occupant of the white house . Makes sense.

    2. @KentBalzer IGNORANCE. No sense attempting to conduct and intelectual, data driven conversation with ignorant, fixed, tunnel vision, myopic people right?

  6. Ladies, please see the following two articles addressing the issue in Nevada. Investigations reveal that the offensive comments – wrongly attributed to Sanders supporters – were actually made by a Trump supporter in the Nevada Independent, plus unidentified trolls, plus conservatives trying to discredit Sanders in an attempt to undermine his medicare-for-all policy. Please also remember that Mr. Sanders had just been briefed by intelligence officials that Russians were meddling in the democratic primary and, knowing such information, he might understandably have been loath to blame innocent supporters or apologize for the bad acts committed by bad actors trying to smear his campaign. Nevertheless, regardless of their origins, the negative or vile statements made were categorically condemned by Mr. Sanders on multiple days and platforms. He timely denounced the atrocious actions and called for respect and civility from his and supporters of all campaigns. He rightly called into question whether the comments were truly made by his supporters, who largely and sincerely believe in his message of compassion, love and justice for ALL people. It is wrong and it hurts deeply to be falsely accused and attacked unfairly. Might you possibly consider apologizing to Mr. Sanders and his supporters?

I welcome your thoughts on what could or would solve the issue of widespread incivility while preserving free-speech and the free and passionate exchange of ideas, and recognizing that no leader should be held accountable for bad actions not incited or condoned by him or her (i.e., Trump’s calls for violence at rallies, etc.).

    1. @William Esselman U.S. politics…?….haven’t you heard, U.S. politics effects the entire world. French riots.?….What does that have to do with this topic?….As for my employment..irrelevent to topic at hand. That’s enough time spent replying to your questions.

    2. @William Esselman I have no desire to have a discussion with you. When i read your comment about three competing global ideologies, i realized you were likely a dishonest debatee. You gave far too much weight to the Islamic model, and you didn’t even mention The United States. I’ve seen your type before, and i don’t intend to spoil a good morning expecting honesty from you.

    3. @dontchastop I’ve read every excuse that you can imagine. The truth is you are dishonest. The French riots are relevant because France has the largest social safety net on the planet Earth and it’s made the middle-class so happy that they’ve decided to burn everything in the streets every weekend for the last 72 weeks. That’s absolutely relevant whenever you are the person pushing a large social safety-net here.

  7. Medicare for all, to protect us from Coronavirus poor people spread disease just the same! Bernie 2020

    1. @0IIIIII If people have access to basic care they will be healthier, and there won’t be getting care in the ER after an illness has been ignored. It’s cheaper to prevent an illness than treat one diagnosed too late. There is a lot of waste and abuse with Medicare, VA, etc. Same with the military. Government corruption is not an excuse to avoid fixing the problem. That needs to be dealt with too.

    2. Enough Madness
It’s not the government wasting money, it’s the for profit industries charging high prices, and then the government paying the tab. Sanders hasn’t explained how and if he will emulate other nations who ensured that wild costs are reigned in. Because Sanders is not concerned with details, just with vague promises to win over low educated voters. Meanwhile he’s content to waste billions of tax dollars on his flawed ambitions.

    3. @0IIIIII He’s not going to remove private insurance. Medicare will be available for everyone, and if people want to buy private health insurance they can too.

    4. @0IIIIII Maybe stop being under the military-industrial complex, right? the 2020 defense budget is 738 billion, almost equivalent to the military budget of all the other countries of the world combined.
When we see the interests at stake we understand better the false motives that have always justified military intervention (already for Vietnam) and the failures that followed. The last example after Iraq and the alleged restoration of democracy is Afghanistan.
If the concern was really democracy, why maintain the support of the Gulf countries which fuel Islamism around the world. Why put your knees on the ground in front of Saudi Arabia which is responsible for the first attack on American soil?
Is it because the majority of the Bush cabinet was linked to oil interests? Everyone knows that the Bush family since the 1970s has been linked to these interests.

  8. I hope Rachel does a piece on how Bernie was threatened by a Nazi in one of his rallies. Or one on Nina Turner been told she didn’t have a standing on MLK’s words by a Biden surrogate on Cuomo or Chris Mathews or Chick Todd likening Bernie’s supporters to Nazis when he’s the first Jewish candidate to run for president and who’s family was killed by the Nazis in ww2. The Fake outrage is becoming unbearable to watch.

  9. Elizabeth for Majority Leader of the Senate. She will clean up the mess created by Mitch McConnell.

  10. 20:15 – 20:52 Elizabeth Warren saved the Democratic primary in that debate, but I don’t think she got to mention this salient point. Thank you Elizabeth Warren!!!

    1. Ma Ba We should mention YouTuber BenjaminPDixon too. He brought the controversial, racist Bloomberg clip on stop and frisk to light before the debate.

  11. Biden is exactly who he says he is hmm he said that he was imprisoned for trying to visit Mandela in S Africa. It is confirmed lie

    1. and he lied about being involved in the civil rights movement in the 1960’s! He lied about all of it! All of the people interviewed said he was not there and did NOTHING!

    2. 0IIIIII I hate all this online meanness. Biden would make an excellent president, and Sanders would make an excellent president.

    3. Brian Walkup Sanders excellent? I don’t think so. His promises aren’t flushed out, and he hasn’t explained how they’ll work, or how his uncompromisingly liberal policies will pass the GOP-controlled Senate. I think he’s a fraud similar to Trump. He sells himself as a solution to a problem, and uses the uneducated people’s anger for political gain, rather than acting rational and dismissing them as unrealistic.

    4. 0IIIIII I understand why you are not voting for him, and see them as valid concerns. But I don’t think Bernie is like Trump. He will try to do right by the people and Trump does not.

  12. Dear Rachel, I walked away from this to think about my response and weather I would leave one.
    A. I understand about it being important for women to have a woman be president. It’s every bit as important as having a black person as president. But don’t over react. It’s going to happen. If the world doesn’t end. Bernie will make a great president. But having him as president now doesn’t mean it’s the end for women.

    B. And as far as toxic comments from Sanders supporters, you haven’t SEEN toxic until your face to face with nurse/receptionist/doctor who thinks you’re scum because you have MEDICAID. You are on some serious high horses if you think your the only ones to get nasty comments on line or that Bernie supporters are the only one’s making them.

    C. Anger. WHY are “Bernie’s supporters” leaving snake emojis? What does a snake represent? Betrayal? What could MS Warren be doing/have done that would make anyone feel that she has betrayed Bernie? Since those feelings of betrayal are at the root of these emojis, how about addressing that?

    1. OM! REALLY, LIKE REALLY!!! Laura Lafauve me thinks you may have missed the tone and tenor and the impact of this powerful interview. Respectfully speaking. So sad 🤨🤔

    2. why? why is it important to know why they feel betrayed? if people are so miserable that they can’t express their upset in adult fashion, but just lash out with demeaning pics of snakes, then they don’t deserve understanding. & why not talk about the disappointment in women being shut out again? it is a huge reality, we have been trying for 4 decades now to get in, we are tired of waiting & have every right to sound off about it when it happens yet again. i am 65 & i want to see a woman in the damned wh before i make my exit. i’m tired of waiting, & waiting & waiting. old white guys do not the right to own the position of president. enough is enough.

  13. I have a mind of my own, I’m not waiting around for anyone’s endorsement, when most working American’s don’t know how they’ll afford medical costs and pay bills and other expenses; we need a president like Bernie Sanders who will alleviate our struggle’s through his presidency and not bailout another bank with our tax money. Bernie has my endorsement, and he can’t expect my vote.

  14. Years of work on a campaign on great relevant issues and you take this important media moment to addressing twitter trolls and blame gender politics. What a great leader
