  1. The big question will be once they vote to impeach (they did so with 2/3rds’ less with Nixon) will be…will the Senate do their job as American citizens (Jurist) or as a political party?

  2. McKinley and Fiona Hill’s testimony is a sign that there are still a few true patriots left. Maybe there is hope after all.

    1. test day on thursday. I wouldn’t bet a dollar which way Sonland goes. I’m edging towards full trump sycophant obstruction and obfuscation.

    2. David J – I was thinking about that today: These are lifetime civil servants – people who’ve worked under different administrations and whose sole duty seems to have been helping fledgling democratic processes where able. I don’t mean to put halos on anyone, but they are such polar opposites in morality and deed to the usual suspects that it’s stunning to behold. And I think it must make the truly corrupt tremble in their boots.

  3. I just cant imagine sondlands testimony offering much he’s a main figure in this whole scheme and unless he plans on flipping to get a reduced sentence. He’s not gonna help Congress put himself in jail .

    1. @Derek Whittom its a crime to see a crime or know about a crime and not reporting it. But I’m not gonna make assumptions the mans testifying tomorrow so we’ll see what happens

    2. @Sadiq โ€ข all valid points, that was kinda what i was thinking he’s volunteering to save his own hide. This is a guy who was totally against trump until he won the election then he donated 1 million dollars to his inauguration fund then became ambassador of the EU lol amazing

    3. @Evan Dipasquale I think someone mentioned that, however, I strongly doubt Schiffty got that news, he preferred to improvise his own interpretation of what he “thought” the transcript said, & the Drunk insisted Schiffty was actually reading the transcript. Socialist pigs!

  4. Exactly..so it you donโ€™t show up to defend yourself then youโ€™re guilty! If you have nothing to hide then why ya hiding….see how it works Republicans…jeez

    1. Swalwell says that when witnesses testify that you’re guilty, you miss out on exonerating yourself if you don’t show up to defend yourself, NOT that it makes you automatically guilty. What makes you guilty are all the witnesses who testify that you did it, which is what is happening here with Trump.

  5. Trump to Guiliani: if there’s an impeachment trial, can I settle out of court like the Trump University case? ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿคฃ

    1. Trump to Rudy: well Rudy if you go down, I still have Barr. So tell Cohen I said โœŒ๐ŸผโœŒ๐ŸผโœŒ๐Ÿผ

    2. @RedondoBeach2 I’ll give Ivanka more credit. She would not give him a gold star. Just draw a star with a gold sharpie. ๐Ÿ˜€

  6. The Dems need to be very suspicious when it comes to Sondland. He is volunteering to testify while being a Trump loyalist and campaign donor??? I would be concerned that he might just be there to muddy the waters or create a false narative in order sow doubt.

    1. Well he would be doing it under oath and there are consequences , perjury, contempt of congress and he would ruin whatever is left of his reputation.

    2. I looked up Sondland…..he is a highly ambitious individual who has no qualifications for
his position. He is very corporate…..he is not to be trusted!

  7. She’s walking in her truth as she leverages strategic alliances! So stunningly powerful and empowered, strong and independent! The gravitas displayed, as she embraces her authenticity, is profound! Nancy Pelosi is the moral compass of the world; the ironclad gatekeeper and oracle of all things sacred and pure. Her poise and composure are utterly inspirational to all womyn!

    1. I disagree. Pelosi resisted this inquiry for months, until this Ukraine thing and a majority of House Democrats _forced_ her to go along with it. Now, she’s refusing to allow a floor vote on it, despite the fact that a judge has already ruled against one of the House subpoenas, specifically _because_ there has been no floor vote on the impeachment inquiry!

I believe her positions have been based solely on polls and guesswork about political consequences for her party. She has been making weak and even sometimes childish excuses for slow-walking all of this. She was wrong about Trump wanting to be impeached. That claim was ridiculous.

She may also be wrong about the Senate acquitting Trump, given the high probability that there will be many more damning revelations and outrageous or criminal acts by Trump during the process. The revelation of this Ukraine scandal and Trump’s insane abandonment of the Kurds have both happened within the last month. We may still see his taxes and bank records. What do you suppose those will show? Giuliani may get arrested and flip on Trump. What do you figure HE knows? It might be discovered that Trump stole 50 million dollars from his inauguration budget. It might be revealed that Erdogan blackmailed Trump into pulling out of Syria. We might find out that Trump made an illegal quid pro quo with Putin in Helsinki. It might be shown that he set up a kickback scheme on his border wall. Etc, etc, etc.

Trump needs to be impeached, regardless of what Nancy thinks the Senate might do and regardless of how she figures it might affect the re-election chances of Democratic Representatives in purple districts. This is a matter of PRINCIPLE!!

  8. 45 is doing what he do asking for something in order for him to do something. But if they did that he still will obstruct. He has no morals. He has no honor. He is the DEVIL.

    1. .LIVED eht si eH .ronoh on sah eH .slarom on sah eH .tcurtsbo lliw llits eh taht did yeht fi tuB .gnihtemos od ot mih rof redro ni gnihtemos rof gniksa od eh tahw gniod si 54

  9. Sondland will likely try to briskly walk away from this steaming pile without suffering too many bites to his rear as he does so.
He doesn’t strike me as someone who would take a fall for someone he paid for a job that didn’t work out.

    Let’s see.

    1. I would think that there was a copy of it somewhere, after all, the call was being overseen by the NSA, as all foreign leader calls are!

  10. The Presidents ego will not allow him to resign and besides he believes he is above the Law! And answers to no one.
