Nancy Pelosi has been a great leader, a fact you have to admit to whether you are a Democrat or a Republican. What breaks my heart is that so much disrespect has been paid to her and her family recently. Few people know that her father was in congress. To see how she was disrespected on January 6, 2021, when they stormed her office, all while threatening to hang their own party’s VP, is sickening. To see her behind the scenes that day, acting professionally despite being scared to death, is a testimonial. There are a lot of Americans that have a lot to learn from her, regardless of Democrat or Republican. What further pisses me off is the disrespectful and flippant way SOME Republicans have addressed the assault on her elderly husband. SHAME!
Here in Australia we were shocked and disgusted by the comments of some republicans who clearly approve of home invasion attacks on the elderly. Many American voters turned their backs on the republican party as a result.

I do appreciate this move. We complained a lot about the gerocrats and they seem to have listened. Not just Pelosi but all the OGs are moving aside. I didn’t see them ever doing that. So consider my mouth shut (on those 3 house members anyway). So props to them I just wish we had better prospects to lead the party in the house. I’m guessing it will go to Jeffries because he’s really mediocre(litigation without action) and that trends for speaker roles.
