@The End The issue isn’t the fact that Americans died. We knew that with a virus like this that attacks in the way it does that there would be unavoidable deaths. The issue is that there were also plenty of AVOIDABLE deaths. By spreading misinformation and rebuking science, the thing that even warned you of this virus and was able to identify it in the first place, you are explicitly giving people advice that will kill them and the people around them. And it came from the mouth of the person who holds the colloquial title of “Leader of the Free World.” This is dangerous. As for the other deaths that happen every day, we have mitigation tactics for those, just like we did with this virus. Automobile accidents have had their lethality reduced by crumple zones, air bags, seat belts, and accident avoidance software to do automatic braking and steering, like the newest vehicles do. We are expanding this technology to save MORE lives. Same with suicide, that’s why we came up with suicide hotlines, therapy, and even medication. I don’t have to go into detail on the other mitigation practices we take and advance every day as the point should now be made. The Trump Administration’s actions cannot be excused.
