Experts say you still need a vaccine even if you had COVID | USA TODAY

Research suggests COVID infection plus vaccination provides the strongest protection against a wide range of variants, possibly for a long time.

RELATED:

As with most illnesses, contracting COVID-19 provides immune "memory" that helps protect against a future infection. But it's still unclear how sick a person has to get with COVID-19 to develop enough immune memory to be protective and for how long. That's why the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends even people who have had COVID-19 get vaccinated against it.

    1. @Civilized Savage 305 Wouldn’t you think any government plots would be uncovered by whistleblowers and then released anonymously to a site such as wikileaks? In the age of the internet, secrets like that can’t be easily kept anymore.

    2. @Puggalug mass media contradict so whistleblowers are hidden. it’s like finding a needle in a haystack. when people bombarded with lies they don’t see the truth. 1000 lies can hide that one truth. people will believe the 1000 lies vs the one truth. It’s been studied in marketing how people can be persuaded by using peer pressure and mass repetition. It’s a battle of control not fighting the virus. There’s so many nutrition advice to help immunity but not once did they recommend it. they focus on pushing drug vaccine rather than action of healthcare. There’s so many things one can do to prevent major illness if one gets infected. yet where are those suggestions/education about them? that’s how you know if they care for you. when they disregard preventive habits of proper food/exercise etc… you know they don’t care about you. And when they don’t walk their talk too. you see many government workers and city workers dont’ wear mask and go party. that shows they talking BS.

    1. @salsa 56 Guillain-Barre syndrome is a rare disorder that causes your immune system to attack your peripheral nervous system (PNS). The PNS nerves connect your brain and spinal cord with the rest of your body. Damage to these nerves makes it hard for them to transmit signals. As a result, your muscles have trouble responding to your brain. No one knows what causes the syndrome. Sometimes it is triggered by an infection, surgery, or a vaccination.

The first symptom is usually weakness or a tingling feeling in your legs.

      Is this also wrong?

    2. Yes, an Israeli study shows natural immunity is 27 times stronger than the vaccine.

Yet you know this isn’t about the virus if NONE of the lame news is covering natural immunity

    1. @Chanelle D Despite being fully vaccinated, Colin Powell remained vulnerable to the virus because of his advanced age and history of cancer, highlighting the continued risk to many Americans until more of the population is immunized. The 84-year-old had been treated over the past few years for multiple myeloma, a blood cancer that impairs the body’s ability to fight infections and to respond well to vaccines.

The COVID-19 vaccines are highly effective against hospitalization and death, and the unvaccinated are about 11 times more likely to die from the coronavirus. But they are not perfect, and experts stress that widespread vaccination is critical to give an added layer of protection to the most vulnerable.

  1. Why are they pushing mRNA injections so hard?? This isn’t about anyone’s health. This “expert” is full of crap, just like all the other “experts”.

    1. @Dan By controlling the spread of disease is a job of government since the dawn of time. If you don’t like the vaccine you could always quarantine yourself, forever

    2. @ExPFC Wintergreen v2.0 They can control public health, but they do not control my bodily autonomy. That is priceless.
Assuming everyone is a biohazard is a mental health issue brought on by pushed propaganda. Someday, you will recover. The rest of us are moving on.

    3. @ExPFC Wintergreen v2.0 health isn’t drugs. health is about making it so that you don’t rely on drugs. they are training you to be dependent on regular drug intake in the false name of protection vaccine. it’s all word games. They use medicine as substitute word for drugs so you don’t think twice. power of labels to persuade. And you don’t even see it.

    4. @Puggalug you mean sick care system. health care means to cure you not get you reliant on drugs. you sure don’t know anything about usa healthcare system’s history.

    1. Even if natural immunity did provide protection, why not get the best of both worlds, and have another layer of immunity (the vaccine) overtop of the natural immunity, so they can work in synergy and have superior protection?

    2. @sam rut You mean like how contracting the real live virus itself harms you? Treating symptoms of the virus is manageable and easier to treat than getting sick from the virus itself. Gasping for air is not a small thing.
This means those who obtained natural immunity have the added benefit to get vaccinated for even better protection.

    3. @Puggalug You talk as if you will get major illness from the virus. scare tactics that they been using on you. everyone who is for vaccine always assume 100% death rate if get infected. that’s called brainwashed. majority don’t have such big illness. treating from natural infection is easier than vaccine side effects. also if you have vaccine. cell memory make it more worse in future infection. that’s why 2nd and 3rd dose is more side effects. over reaction response. which is more dangerous cuz can lead to blood clot etc.. Basics of vaccine reaction from microbiology taught in schools. They are not experts if they forgo basics and keep changing their stance . especially when the data is manipulated.
