    1. If you tug on a strip of t shirt material it’ll usually stretch a bit longer, maybe they just didn’t show it.

  1. Am I the only one who in their area face masks have run out? I could not buy one and had to make one myself

    1. ran out everywhere there is a world wide shortage. places near me restocked on overpriced ones. Alot of people didnt relies the n95 mask could be reused because the virus can only live on surfaces for a couple of days at most. Also hospitals weren’t reusing n95 masks (and some still arent) even tho there have been over 3 methods of cleaning discovered that can get a hospital over 15 uses per mask.

  2. 1. Skip the cutting and use the whole shirt.
    2. Make a t-shirt ninja mask instead.
    3. Bring more than 1 shirt.
    4. Wash after use.

  3. I just bought some masks from buymasknow.com to share with my neighbors. They are in stock and ship for free. Thanks to this post, I made a few for my family before I got more.

    1. @Fern Lin-Healy I read that putting shaving cream on glasses, letting them dry, then wiping it off, works? I haven’t tried it.

  4. Wait – you cut a 6″ square from one side at 0:24 but by 0:28, you have something that looks like you cut nearly the whole way across the t-shirt? Step 2 in your drawing looks like you should cut out a rectangle from one side to about 6 to 7 inches from the other side but you put the dimensions in the drawing on the wrong side of the cut.
