Facing Historic Protests, Trump Fails Standard Set By Obama, LBJ, Bush And Tupac | MSNBC 1

As demonstrations and protests around the country spark following the murder of George Floyd, many are critiquing Trump’s response to the national call for justice. In this special report, MSNBC’s Ari Melber analyzes how the call for justice is embedded in America’s history, what many deem an “endless” fight for criminal justice and police reform. Melber reports on how citizens, elected officials, artists and activists from President George H. Bush to Tupac have been addressing issues of race in America. Melber shows footage from an interview, where Tupac discusses the Rodney King beating, saying Rodney was “still fighting for Rodney King still fighting for his and they got it on tape,” drawing similarities in the George Floyd case. (This interview is from MSNBC’s “The Beat with Ari Melber, a news show covering politics, law and culture airing nightly at 6pm ET on MSNBC. ). Aired on 6/4/2020.

  3. Trump never misses an opportunity to throw kerosene on his own Dumpster fire. Hang in there America Trumps going to get a lot more chaotic and divisive before this is over.

    • @Eddy Hanson Playing clips and analyzing what is happening is definitely holding the flame – obviously it’s not the people actually doing it. We’ve all lied to ourselves on occasion but the delusion right now is incredible.

    Police and Justice Reform.
Demilitarise your Police and stopallowing your Police to treat Americans like they’re guilty. The Police should not be above the law

Cullen he swore his oath of office holding his autobiography which is full of lies. He preferred his book to a bible. So yes it’s probably the first time he’s held the bible

Trump speaks with a 5th grade vocabulary and struggles with subjects the rest of us find as ‘common knowledge’. Trump is what you get when you purchase an education, instead of earning one. So yes, it’s very unlikely Trump has ever held a book.

  13. One man’s cry of ‘Can’t breathe” brought all of together so that ‘we will breathe’ much easier regardless of color, creed, race, religion after Nov. 2020. Drain the swamp, clean up the stench, Please vote.

Decades later and I still miss Tupac. On the day of his death a news reporter said ” This event would change rap music forever ” oh how right she was and it wasn’t for the best.
