Well they carried on employing a man that had 14 complaints against him and did nothing but let him train other cops?….Police unions at work, saving bad apples since 1903.

    • @Kroger Babb the media makes it seem like GF ended up on the ground for no reason and they NEVER talk about what lead up to it. They didn’t just throw him to the ground for no reason.

Joey Cole That might’ve been the case maybe 30 years ago but I think things have change since the Repubs now appear to be the party of organize labor while many of our candidates, beginning with Hillary drove organize labor away from the Democrat party.
Very early on in his presidency the Trumpster united labor and management to cooperate on job training for young people. The best example of that is a the IBEW training program for fiber optics. What we see in many of our progressive cities in which the minorities have been killed, is that the progressive Mayor/City Council and the police unions have a greed on contracts which now may be very questionable.

    • Da any klobuchar had a chance to remove that dirty cop years ago and she did not.

Megadog Yes, I forgot about her. He had many complaints against him and I’m wondering why didn’t she take action or put pressure on the police chief to take action. That is really good food for thought. I’m wondering if our major progressive cities still maintain a plantation mentality. That is really insightful.

@Kroger Babb your argument is wrong! regulations for use of force exist. it is not legal to apply deadly force when life is not threatened. mr floyd was already handcuffed, face down on the ground and didnt pose any threat to anyone. apart from the issue of lack of accountability what is very questionable is the level of training cops get. the argument “you try doing this job” is irrelevant. if you expect a pilot to fly safely every single time you board an airplane why should there be a lower expectation for cops to use force appropriately? dealing with violent situations requires more training than handing out speeding tickets. anyone who doesnt have what it takes is unfit for that job.

How can a cop be judge/jury & then carry out the death penalty & not think he deserves the same in return?!

    • Phinneas Bluster | July 15, 2020 at 4:47 PM | Reply

Lily and Murphy: Here’s a suggestion. Why don’t you join the police force and see what it’s like before you start judging police. If you ask me anyone that sides with career criminals is scum.

  9. I hope they win!

  15. TEL AVIV, Israel—For leaders around the world, the coronavirus has been a colossal challenge, testing their ability to manage a crisis on an unparalleled scale. But for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the pandemic has also been a political salve, allowing him to put off his corruption trial, smash the country’s main opposition party, and now forge a governing majority that had eluded him since late 2018.
