  1. Well, this sounds familiar. It’ll be interesting to watch this male officer not get charged after the lady officer got 10 years.

    1. Juliett A or get charged and get a significantly worse sentence. Either way, I just pray for justice for her family.

    2. Way to co-opt a tragedy to address the issues you care about. This is clearly a sexism issue not a systemic oppression of a minority group disadvantaged by decades of this exact kind of crap.

  2. I bet the media is scrambling to find something, just anything to defame her character.. “She told someone to shut up 10 years ago, WE’LL TAKE IT!” God bless her soul..

    1. @science wins It was 2:30 in the morning. Somebody is on her property without her permission. No i.d. was made. If she shot them, she would have had a flawless defense. But, she didnt. She is dead because of a green cop that didnt know how to react properly in a Use of Force situation.

    2. White 2nd amendment idiots with masks can walk the streets armed to their teeth without incident but a Black woman looking out the window of her own house is a threat big enough to use deadly force?
      Ridiculous
Throw the pos cop in prison FOR LIFE!!

    3. I wonder if the general public and courts are being tested to see if we’ll stand for the weaponization of cops against us. There was amber guyger too.

    4. @22 Veterans A Day And also my friend I Totally understand your name of 22 vets s day!!! That’s the number of vets that commit suicide! That is a heartbreaking stat! How can I help? And do you think our nation does enough (regardless of who is president) to help them?

  3. This was cold blooded murder. But dont you dare kneel, oh no, dont do that, that’s unamerican……get the F out of here.

  4. The murderer has been identified. His name is Aaron Dean. And he’s not cooperating with the investigation as of today.

    1. @Truth Yes, it was tragic. I feel for everyone involved. A young mother killed, a family distraught, and a cop who will suffer with this for the rest of his life. I hope we get all the details and the media are able to do that without starting a riot.

    2. @K L Okay, I see a very short mention that he is not cooperating. That doesn’t look good as stated, but we don’t know why, yet. I’d like to hear more details on that.
If the man shot Ms. Jefferson without legitimate cause, then the book should be thrown at him. I see he has been charged with murder. Gee, that was quick! Yes, it was a homicide, but how did they determine murder so fast?
He went there to check on the welfare of the woman he ended up shooting. That doesn’t make any sense to me.
As far as screaming things in his defense, I don’t think they would have had time to determine exactly what happened, especially since he was not cooperating. I just hope this isn’t a case of “Crucify the cop before the national news media start a race riot in this town.”

    3. @Astrobrant2 – “without starting a riot.”

You know I used to turn my nose up in disgust at people rioting. I thought what a disgusting exhibition of savagery and ignorance. You know I don’t think that anymore. The killing of unarmed or otherwise innocent blacks has become an intolerable epidemic.

People simply extending their insincere condolences and then going about their own lives when someone else has UNJUSTLY lost theirs now sickens me more than the riots.

These people are being killed, in many cases with impunity. You have to ask yourself what kind of an uproar would there be if every other month a totally innocent white person were killed in their own home by a police officer. There’d be congressional hearings about police use of force.

    4. @Truth It most certainly is NOT with impunity. I have given examples of how the MSM pre-judge and exacerbate these situations, even those which turned out to be justified shootings. Now it seems now that police departments and prosecutors go along with the mob demands for “justice” and throw the cop under the bus whether or not he/she deserves it. They do it knowing that the MSM have whipped up such a racial, anti-cop frenzy that any judgment in the cop’s favor will result in massive protests or riots.
I have also seen some which are not justified. Some of them have been accidents, but the cops are criminally prosecuted for them, ie. Amber Guyger. Here we have Neal being charged with murder within a day after the incident. There could not possibly have been a proper investigation.

Yes, bad cops need to be rooted out. Those who commit crimes need to be prosecuted. But when a white cop harms or kills a black person, the rules are different. In one case, even a conscientious white neighbor was nationally crucified by news agencies for reporting something suspicious — because it involved black people. TV and newspapers know that these stories are good for business, and they know that subsequent civil disturbance gets an even bigger audience.
      KACHING!!!!

Black lives DO matter, and inciting racial activism and possibly riots puts black people’s welfare in jeopardy. The MSM aren’t championing racial equity and justice, they are exploiting the black population for profit.

    1. Sure! You gotta keep up with all the black people shooting, even if they stop driving around because they’re too scared to be killed because of a broken taillight.

    1. @Jill Marie Exactly! You never expose yourself in front of a freaking large window. You stand on the side behind it and yell to identify yourself. Exactly!

    2. @Jill Marie The only fact is that neither you nor I nor anyone else knows what caused the officer to shoot the woman. We all need to wait to find out. It may be what you said. It may be something else. But I have a problem with people who want to crucify this guy before we find out all the facts.

    3. Officers are woefully undertrained. But more than training, I think many of them may not have the psychological fitness to endure the demands and pressures of the job.

    4. @Astrobrant2
what do you mean this guy was suppose to respond to a non threatening situation as simple as a farewell check. There was no need to shoot first through a window where they were children inside.

    5. @someone unknown “There was no need to shoot first through a window….”
There would be one reason: if the person inside pointed a gun at him. If that turns out not to be the case, then this cop screwed up, big time. If that is the case, it would be easy to verify. The gun would have been on the floor next to Ms. Jefferson. Other cops would have seen that when they went in. We have not heard their account or Neal’s.

      “children inside.”
      Neal didn’t know that.
The cops were there on a welfare check, as you acknowledged. The door was open. They were looking for signs of foul play. They had no idea who was in the house. There would have been no reason whatsoever for Neal to have any malign intent toward the resident.

  5. He will be charged. Likely convicted. Will do some time for sure. Family will win a wrongful death suit. A senseless death. Taxpayer on hook for all of it. Dallas Ft. Worth needs a retool on their officer training…that’s for sure.

  6. He needs to be arrested. There won’t be peace until he is on lock down. It was cold blooded murder. Senseless.. an African American would already be in prison.
