Cities are not dissolving the entire department, they are only giving them enough funds to operate and nothing more. Police have the ability to generate their own money. There are already charities in existence before any talk of defunding them. Then police have Civil Asset Forfeiture. If you didn’t know police have been using this for decades and has generated billions. They seize your house, cars, boats, jewelry, etc. and sell it for profit. For you this will be good because now that police have to generate their own money, they are going to be more aggressive than ever. Your community could become more safer because of this so calm down. If you make a monthly donation to your police and always tip them off to someone you might think is breaking the law, they’ll be more present in your neighborhood. Just don’t become a Karen.

As far as the police brutality issue, 2 weeks of crying about it under Trump and he executive ordered a ban on the restraint that has killed many (that killed Eric carter back in 2014 as well and no policy was created that was promised.)
He wants to do a good job and he doesn’t just talk he provides the action to back it up. If an issue arises to his attention, he’s fair about it.
I think if democrats can fall back a bit to hear out the two year immigration reform plan, it would be life changing and if democrats get on board to help come up with realistic safe solutions for the kids trapped at the border, he’d be willing to listen and come up with policies.
I think he just wants to do a good job for those who have faith in him….he’s not Mr congeniality and that’s okay his heart is there. He takes No paycheck. None. He works for free.
