  1. if russia is provoked by a defensive alliance they’re just proving the need for a defensive alliance

    1. @arthurneddysmith I ask again have you been to Belarus to come with this conclussion? Japan and Germany is “staging ground” for US army as well based of your logic.

    2. @Craig Harrison America is not a country, it’s a landmass (also called “the Americas”) which consists of the north american and south american continents. The United States of America is a country.

    3. @B20C0 The United States is also referred to as America. I think you are arguing symantics and missing my point which is no country close to the US is going to align with Russia. Russia isn’t good for business.

    1. @Bonnie NATO is the reason for the situation in the Ukraine. If you don’t know that you obviously know nothing about the conflict.

  2. We need to stop worrying about what will provoke the enemy and focus on ensuring the enemy knows what will provoke us

    1. @Victoria Williams I enjoy living. Let’s stop taking these gambles before humanity as a whole loses

    2. @Glossalalist Preaching to the choir. I literally have PTSD that I acquired from the first cold war.

  3. It’s worth noting that Finland’s traditional neutrality had a lot to do with the fact that any potential allies were too far away from them to react effectively should the USSR decide to attack. Now that NATO has spread towards the east and includes Poland and the Baltic republics, there would be real advantages for them in joining.

  4. A very warm welcome to Finland in joining the strong alliance of NATO and soon Sweden also, much peace and security, Congratulations!!!

  5. Congratulation & welcome, Finland! 🇫🇮From USA!!!! 🇺🇸 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

  6. Welcome, Finland. See you soon, Sweden. And I sure hope to see Ukraine as the 33rd member someday.

  7. As a person born in Czechoslovakia, a country which was occupied by Russians for more than 20 years, I can definitely say that it is safer to be a NATO member than to be an Russian ally.

    1. @Domeniko Yes one is for Ukraine (like their antiquated SS affiliation and literal controversial Nazi affiliations around when the protest occurred eventually to civil war) and the other is for Russia

    2. @DanLewis
Lol even the head of Wagner has stated there are no Nazis.

But I mean sure what yóu say makes sense…..

  8. Excellent job, Finland! 🇫🇮
Hope to see Sweden join to strengthen the alliance
We should not take threats from Russia. God bless America and Ukraine! 🇺🇸🇺🇦

  9. The sheer amount of approving and cheering comments by ordinary Russians under videos about the atrocities committed against civilians in Ukraine were no less shocking to Ukrainians than the war itself.
We somehow got used to the war, but the realization of who we have been living next to all this time without even knowing it is still terrifying.
These creatures call themselves our brothers.
Imagine what they would do to you, who they call their enemies, if you let them.
Not supplying weapons to Ukraine in order to achieve an early peace would be like allowing a violator to violate his victim in order to end the violence as soon as possible.

  10. Brawo Finlandia, wspaniały moment dla całego sojuszu, witajcie 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 jeszcze Szwecja mam nadzieje dołączy zaraz PO WYBORACH W…jakimś tam kraju 🙄😏 i będzie rodzina większa, dobrze,że jesteście z nami.
