    1. PEI is the only province that got ravaged. They got hit bad. What we got in NB and NS doesn’t even come close. Eye went right over Charlottetown.

    2. @Passing through Time if you think people are so bad….since you’re a person….you know you can take the quick way out and they’ll be one less horrible person on this planet ya know?

    1. Well as someone who grew up on the east coast of Canada I can tell you it’s a common thing, where I grew up it’s common to get
      160km/h winds with no hurricane.

    2. @ParallaxDG I saw a movie with Mark Wahlberg about a new England fishing boat caught in a mass storm in the ocean. I just never hear about them on the news

    1. @OG0dinwolf Question for you, if it is the worst ever, is that not historic and new?

You love quoting the government, do you trust the government? I sure do not.

    2. @OG0dinwolf I cited Wikipedia, a source that believes in climate change. And you do not believe them? My bad, maybe I should cite some right wing sources.

    3. @OG0dinwolf The 2 cat 3+ hurricanes were better? Just because houses were washed out DOES NOT MAKE IT THE WORST! Your logic eludes me. Hundreds of houses devastated by a tornado does not make it the worst ever! Once again your logic eludes me.

    4. Yeah, that’s what it is. The fuch outta here man. If it were based on karma, most countries woulda been wiped clean off the map from natural disasters long ago. Guy says karma.

    1. @Jeremy Benoit I call b.s cnn says it’s devastation Canada has never seen.and judging by the comments Canada has never had a hurricane all you have is snow.and the guy saying that probably lives in Kentucky so he would know.lol

    2. @Jeremy Benoit I have family in Moncton n.b I used to travel up there every summer go to magnetic hill then go see the tidal bore my mom called it and explore the rocky shore.one year we saw the f1 boats on the shadiack river.my uncle had a cottage directly across the mariner where they had a giant stop watch or clock for the races.its so beautiful up there

    3. @OG0dinwolf You are correct. sir. Tropical storms can still be insanely dangerous. For example, the so-called “Perfect Storm” that slammed into the northeast in 1991.

    4. I live in NS and we’ve had many hurricanes. And this one was worse than those. 80mile winds. So yes even though it’s a post tropical storm. It had hurricane category 2 winds. So yea. It was pretty devastating.

  1. 931.6 millibar pressure. Fiona’s extra tropical transition reminds me a lot of what Sandy did in New Jersey nearly ten years ago. Sandy had a pressure of 940 millibars when it hit NJ.

    1. Great info! Thank you for that.
Yes. Unfortunately and unforgivably Sandy was man made. Staten Island buffered where I live in NJ – one can swim the channel, The Kill Van Kull. We would have been annihilated if not for Staten Island. No storm in history ever made a direct PERFECT left angle in its’ course (or right), which is what Sandy did. Sandy did a lot of damage. We were without power for almost two weeks, she wiped out all the grids.

    2. CNN has a long history of spreading lies and half-truths.
This isn’t surprising, as they are owned by the Clinton
Foundation. It seems their reign of misinformation may be
starting to crumble, as today they are finally beginning to
pay the price for their dishonesty as state governments are
      starting to take action.
Three states, all led by Republican governors, have decided
to pull the plug on CNN within their borders. These great
states are Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana, the unholy
trinity of states that have the best quality of living and
education in the nation, so they know what they are doing
      with this decision.

    1. How did earths five ice ages melt without climate change? 4 billion years of climate change. The universe is expanding so you can fret about that too.

  2. Hurricane in Canada. Very weird hearing that here in Jamaica. Be safe guys.
BTW Anyone else convinced about Climate Change??

    1. @gary quarty tell me you don’t understand anthropogenic climate change without telling me you don’t understand anthropogenic climate change.

    2. @Magnus Lundin Well all this talk about climate change, I am going to have a tire fire. Cheers, Let the black smoke roll.

  3. Have we crossed the point of no return in terms of damaging the planet? There is no such point. We need to trust that our thought, which is our greatest quality, can change nature. We only need to understand the direction to which we should aim our thoughts. What should we think about? What condition or state should we aspire to and ask for?
In order to save our planet, we should think about positive human connections. That is, how can we, in our connections, keep nature safe? How can we all together protect our world? If we truly wish to better our planet, then we should see people holding a concern for how to positively connect everywhere that we look.
It has nothing to do with recycling or other activities that we commonly associate with as being sustainable. If we come closer to and consider each other, that we will reach an entirely organic, perfectly connected and round state, then the negative forces will disappear from the world.
We need to understand that if we start thinking better about each other, then the planet will recover from all harm, because our thoughts are the strongest force in nature. Likewise, our negative thoughts about each other are entirely to blame for damaging the planet. That is why the more we recycle and invest in energies and activities that we commonly think of as being sustainable, the worse our planet becomes. Nothing will work to benefit us until we reach a state where our attitude changes toward each other for the better to protect and improve our planet.

  4. Hope that storm is on a direct path to Mar-a-Lago. 🤬. There’s still time for the rich and entitled to get into their jets and leave.

  5. The problem that Floridians have is home insurance. The market basically collapsed. Now there is a few insurance companies and the cost keep rising. This happened before any hurricane. Some had their policies either cancelled or downgraded. My neighbor’s policy doubled in a year and she had to quickly shop for a new policy while a hurricane is on the way. Thanks LameSantis.

  6. My prediction (which has been correct the past 4 years): it MAY hit the very edge of western florida, but chances are it will either weaken significantly or head toward texas or new orleans. So I hope the media is preparing them because that has happened with a few hurricanes in the last couple of years.

  7. I’d say Florida is emersed in a state of emergency as a result of that ridiculously childish govenor of theirs.
