@OG0dinwolf You are correct. sir. Tropical storms can still be insanely dangerous. For example, the so-called “Perfect Storm” that slammed into the northeast in 1991.
I live in NS and we’ve had many hurricanes. And this one was worse than those. 80mile winds. So yes even though it’s a post tropical storm. It had hurricane category 2 winds. So yea. It was pretty devastating.

931.6 millibar pressure. Fiona’s extra tropical transition reminds me a lot of what Sandy did in New Jersey nearly ten years ago. Sandy had a pressure of 940 millibars when it hit NJ.

Yes. Unfortunately and unforgivably Sandy was man made. Staten Island buffered where I live in NJ – one can swim the channel, The Kill Van Kull. We would have been annihilated if not for Staten Island. No storm in history ever made a direct PERFECT left angle in its’ course (or right), which is what Sandy did. Sandy did a lot of damage. We were without power for almost two weeks, she wiped out all the grids.

Have we crossed the point of no return in terms of damaging the planet? There is no such point. We need to trust that our thought, which is our greatest quality, can change nature. We only need to understand the direction to which we should aim our thoughts. What should we think about? What condition or state should we aspire to and ask for?
In order to save our planet, we should think about positive human connections. That is, how can we, in our connections, keep nature safe? How can we all together protect our world? If we truly wish to better our planet, then we should see people holding a concern for how to positively connect everywhere that we look.
It has nothing to do with recycling or other activities that we commonly associate with as being sustainable. If we come closer to and consider each other, that we will reach an entirely organic, perfectly connected and round state, then the negative forces will disappear from the world.
We need to understand that if we start thinking better about each other, then the planet will recover from all harm, because our thoughts are the strongest force in nature. Likewise, our negative thoughts about each other are entirely to blame for damaging the planet. That is why the more we recycle and invest in energies and activities that we commonly think of as being sustainable, the worse our planet becomes. Nothing will work to benefit us until we reach a state where our attitude changes toward each other for the better to protect and improve our planet.

The problem that Floridians have is home insurance. The market basically collapsed. Now there is a few insurance companies and the cost keep rising. This happened before any hurricane. Some had their policies either cancelled or downgraded. My neighbor’s policy doubled in a year and she had to quickly shop for a new policy while a hurricane is on the way. Thanks LameSantis.
My prediction (which has been correct the past 4 years): it MAY hit the very edge of western florida, but chances are it will either weaken significantly or head toward texas or new orleans. So I hope the media is preparing them because that has happened with a few hurricanes in the last couple of years.
