Why did the republicans put trump on the ballot for president after he was impeached?

Congress impeached him but not in the Senate. Schiff hide evidence/conceal witness testimony that will damage their case against Trump. It was also released the transcript later of Trump’s conversation and found nothing. Follow the crumbs and it will lead you back to Dems agenda before 2016 election with the help of FBI/DOJ and the previous administration have a hand on it.

@Ciel Bennison You started out explaining it correctly but then made the same mistake Barr made. There was indiputable evidence that trump committed the crime of quid quo quo so the senate decided to not have a trial on that count, they accepted the crime and just voted on whether the crime met the level for removal. Trump was not exonerated by the senate. If the senate wanted to dispute the House findings witnesses would have been presented. the fact that they accepted the crime as being committed meant the case should just fo to a vote of retention or removal.

For the first time in my adult life, I’m a “single issue” voter this year… that issue is getting trump the F**K out of office. The damage that trump will do if he holds onto power has left me no choice.
My biggest concern (among many)? trump is wreaking havoc with our national security, pushing out qualified officials and replacing them with unqualified sycophants or leaving important positions vacant.
The last POTUS who marginalized our national security and intelligence community this way was Bush. It’s what partially lead to missed signals and overlooked warnings of the 9/11 attack.
Yet the mismanagement under Bush was nowhere near as bad as the chaos and havoc that trump now wreaks.
This country CANNOT risk another 4 years of trump chipping away at our national security and playing into the hands of those who want to harm the U.S. It won’t be safe for any of us….that includes trump’s own followers.
Its namesake too, for he won’t gracefully fade into history, he’ll spew filth until the day he dies. I look forward to the day when he is referred to as the former wannabe dictator Donald J. Trump.

But when this deception happens it will be very noticeable, their is more to this. Their so much other foods then just corn. And floods and winds that only affect certain areas. @Liz Chelle Liz the problem is Trump told people not to wear masks so the damage has been done and he also pushed for no testing/tracing or distancing. There basically was no shutdown either he kept pushing for people to return to normal while the virus was spreading like wildfire all because he was worried about his stock market. I’d suggest any vaccine Trump pushes is purely for politics as well, l wouldn’t be putting myself at risk until l saw Trump himself injected by a Dr in no way associated with him so you know it is actually the vaccine and not water.
I think the best advice regarding the virus is whatever Trump says do the opposite, there would be thousands more alive if Trump wasn’t president.

Some people needs to take responsibility of their actions too and out and about i.e. protesters, beach goers. Most countries in Europe are now open and even in Australia despite border closure, schools were never close. Schools in Europe are also open and if CDC Chief is saying that he trust mask to save him than the vaccine, why did they not recommend it instead of lockdown while trying to find a vaccine? It makes no sense to me and lockdown cannot go on until third quarter of 2021 when vaccine is available, it’s not only bad for the economy but emotionally, physically it affects a lot of people. Spike of virus end up also spiking alcohol and drug abuse; mental problems, suicide the cost is severe too.
CDC revised the number of people directly died of covid-19 to 9k and the rest is with underlying diseases and age. I know for a fact it was in the news that one patient was tested 10x and reported 10x too instead of 1 since they get more money the higher the infected people are. So I guess rumor also circulating must be true that they were forced to add covid-19 in death certificate but two doctors in California said it already that they are under pressure to add it.
I for one will not take a vaccine until I know that there is no major side effect since I keep myself away from everyone without using a mask and only out when necessary. I guess if you follow the rules and using your judgement, you will not end up with the virus.
@Liz Chelle we had similar here in Australia with something as obvious as wearing a mask would help stop spread the virus, couldn’t work out why until it became obvious of the shortage especially for health workers but still mixed messaging which isn’t good. One consistent message we did have here though was how dangerous the virus was right from the start, politicians stood aside from both sides and experts took control. Because we were constantly updated with facts the country knew what was happening and all states worked together with restrictions, until the 2nd outbreak in Victoria a couple of months ago the virus here was basically under control with no deaths and very few cases. Unfortunately nearly all of Victoria’s 737 deaths were in aged care, what it did highlight was just how quickly the virus took hold again and how contagious it is even with controls put in place. Melbourne has been in lockdown for weeks now and finally as hard as its been for people living there things seem back under control with 43 new cases and 5 deaths yesterday, the rest of Australia is reopening borders and life is returned to normal. Our unemployment rate is 6.8% and business starting to reopen, because we were kept informed and politics was put too one side in the interests of each others welfare things are looking much better alround. If people know what is going on the risk of panic is far less, if leaders work together the risks are far less, if you put people before money the risks are far less and as a result finances are actually far better. What we have been watching in America is near the total opposite and the toll is obvious, we had 5 deaths yesterday bringing our total too 837 deaths with 750 in Victoria alone after the last outbreak. Total infections since the virus began are 26,861 and as I mentioned 43 new cases yesterday. I realise America’s population is approx 13 times ours but putting it into perspective Australia would have 10,881 deaths and 349,193 cases if the same population as America. The fact instead America has 6.74 million cases and over 198,000 deaths is staggering in contrast, this is an infection rate 19.3 times ours and death rate 18.2 times ours per capita. Also because our numbers are so low our figures are very accurate, I’d hate to think how many people in America are infected or have died that haven’t been counted in those figures either deliberately or otherwise. Trump is responsible for the running of America, he has done nothing but downplay the virus and allow its spread with the knowledge it is airborne and far more lethal than the flu. The fact he protects himself while bringing unprotected supporters together who then return home to spread the virus is a disgrace, l just cannot believe anyone could support such a negligently reckless moron who’s only interest is himself.
