    1. She should have been brave and opened her mouth when she was at the podium! They would have had to forcibly remove me to make me shut up!
This is what is wrong with America now, everyone is weak and thinking about themselves! Over 400,000 people have died and people go, oh I understand how she could’ve been to scared. F**k that! She was supposed to be who we looked to for safety and SHE FAILED HORRIBLY!!

    2. @Annie I am with you. What she did was shameful.. She was an enabler. I hold her responsible for the failure and also death and spread of this virus.. His task force should have shed the truth, not cover up the lies.. All the non trumpists KNEW very well he was lying about everything. This is shameful.

    3. @T Howl I am sooooo with you… All I saw during her time at the podium was a different scarf.. Everything coming out of her mouth was B.S.

    4. @avarice seven Maybe I am just a rare individual, but one time my boss hinted that I do something I know was wrong. I suggested that he do it himself. He immediately backed down. And I’m still working there (going on 18 years). You don’t have to live on your knees.

    5. @Dentatus Dentatus the thing is your boss is not the president of the USA and is not pure evil. I think of my self as someone who can recognize right and wrong most of the time and is willing to learn and accept my mistakes but i can’t genuinely say i can oppose a person of higher authority that me easily. You have job you wanna keep and depending on circumstances you cant just decide like that like its not a difficult decision to make. Of course we can say its not easy to do the right thing, but that’s us saying as an outsider in the comfort of our own lives. From the interview it seem like they are sabotaging her and hijacking her authority too, can you really say no to that? She could’ve quit but who will they replace her? Look at dr. fauci, he held on to his position as hard as he can. Its a shame that she wasnt able to stand up for science but that should not be held against her. We do what we think is right when we think we are in danger and from the look of it it seems like she thought just going with the lunatic until he leaves the office is her best chance to survive.

Truth will prevail in the end. Its just a little harder to accept what she did because she’s supposed to be a person of science but if people can forget what slimy politicians have done wrong, why cant they give this woman another chance? She tried to do her job right but was sabotaged! Its not like science works on pure opinion or on politics.

    1. @My Tale well go read the so call ” prison reform” he did. Read the actually paper and you will see exactly how Trump works. The only thing he did was the tax cuts that help rich people. Check the details of that out too.

    1. Trump and his enablers, be they willing or not killed millions because of the way they responded to the virus. Blood on their hands. Control the media, you control the truth. Be aware that Rupert Murdoch and his cronies are systematically buying up ALL local radio news outlets in America. You can guess why! I must also add that the overall impression the world has of American citizens, is that they are ignorant. I say that with sadness

  1. Remember when she was staring a hole in the floor while tRump was looking in her direction & talking about injecting BLEACH & putting a U/V light up your butt? She should have stood up and WALKED OUT of the room!

    1. @Demon 1800 aren’t you barking up the wrong oak buddy?? Or r U one of those “lost” souls who can’t see the forest for the trees??

    2. Yes. What a horror show! I think Dr Birx was trying to hold her sphincter muscles together at that moment.

    1. What do you mean?
Are you saying that if she had quit in protest, they may have just hired someone with even less integrity?
I’m just clarifying what you mean, not criticizing your point

    2. @SleeplessDev No, I mean if the reason she’s using for staying was to do the right thing, she should have done or said or transmitted or smoke signaled the right things. She did none of it and just sat back letting it all crumble while clutching her pearls. If you’re completely powerless in a situation, yet you stay, you’re not staying to do the right thing. What good does intergrity do when you don’t employ it?

    1. When you have a malignant narcissist and his flying monkeys operating, it will be as dysfunctional and toxic as can be. Olivia underscores that with her observations of what transpired.

  2. Just one example of why Trump’s administration was so dysfunctional. He created an impossible working environment.

    1. @ John Doe He Trump did what and claimed it would reduce insulin prizes? If he did that, there are two results: 1. community health centers with less funds, because that is where the discounts ended up until now and 2. more money for the pharmaceutical industry, because there is no reason anymore for the community centers to waste their time and money on bargaining for better prizes. That is it.

    2. @CommonSense Your name says it all. Common sense is not so common for his supporters. Remember, Trump ran as a Republican because he loves the poorly educated.

    3. @CommonSense To add to your comment, I’ll go as far to say that, EVERYTHING Trump did after the election was disingenuous and malevolent

    4. That’s what happens when people vote for someone with an inferiority complex who needs his ego stroked constently to make him feel worthy because his father never did.

  3. This is just the beginning. More and more people will start to disclose all the f-ed up crap that went on for 4 years. Sad that very few did sooner. 4 years of sheltering Trump’s fragile ego. Unbelievable.

    1. Agreed. BS data and graph chaos could have been prevented if one of the 2 people whose “opinions” were facts, had said something at the time. They obviously didn’t think they were protecting their positions so they could eventually do right by the American people. Or the science they said was concrete and in our better interest. I don’t dislike either of them. I think they’re probably quite intelligent in the science of their fields. But I have to wonder what they were so afraid of they’d let this craziness continue at the cost of the greater good. I wish one of them would say. The truth.

    1. If it had the result of allowing people to die, I’d put my money on Stephen Miller or someone under his thumb.

    2. Don’t forget that the evil Paul Ryan has wanted to abolish Social Security all these years. The voters would have none of it. So pick off the old people???

  4. Scientists and doctors should be kept out of politics for them to function to the best of their abilities. Sad that we lived through something like this.

    1. They generally are separate from politics. It was Trump’s Administration that made Covid response political.

    2. Businessmen should also be kept out of politics. Let’s let these past four years stand as a good example of why not.

  5. Can’t believe all the crap that happened last year (that could have been managed) and this idiocy was going on

    1. Trista…that was the kinda atmosphere that trump created and it just festered like an open wound…infecting everyone’s integrity around him.

  6. Not that anyone with a brain didn’t realise that this was happening…but to finally have someone validate it…Jesus…it’s unbelievable how much blood is on tRump and his cronies hands

    1. Do you think it was just because he was flexing his narrative/ narcissism or was someone else telling him what to do?

    2. The new AG should consider trying Trump for Negligent Homicide (at least) — maybe Conspiracy to commit Mass Murder.
Exhibit A: Thousands died needlessly. Exhibit B: the phone call with Bob Woodward.
Exhibit C: insider testimony, like we have here.

    1. Trump and his enablers, be they willing or not killed millions because of the way they responded to the virus. Blood on their hands. Control the media, you control the truth. Be aware that Rupert Murdoch and his cronies are systematically buying up ALL local radio news outlets in America. You can guess why!

    2. What the orange clown did was what the fascist bigot hitler did in his time. A total ignoramus and an American awful mistake.

    3. @B B Exactly. Sinclair (right wing media) bought up 250 local TV news stations all round the country. We need to rebuild local news agencies that were decimated by the internet so that people become more involved in their local communities and gain a sense of self worth so that they aren’t prone to looking outside themselves for meaning and powerful people like trump exploit them for political gain.
We came so very close to fascist rule in this country. Check out this list of 14 characteristics of fascism and tell me if they don’t look all too familiar under trump’s reign.
      https://ratical.org/ratville/CAH/fasci14chars.html
But the threat is still very real b/c tens of millions of people have become radicalized by Qanon and the cult of trump. https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2021/01/can-trumps-cult-of-followers-be-deprogrammed

    1. @John Poston yes the Democrats are making deals with a communist country to maintain power of a free nation

  7. Come on, we knew that once the tangerine was out is when we would learn the actual truth about all the incredible corruption and lies perpetrated by this madman.

  8. Trump always put his interests first, never the country’s. He never gave a crap about COVID-19 and the death it brought. Never.

    1. @jacq danieles People die everyday ! They have been for centuries! But now You have someone you hate, someone to blame, all a perfectly planned evil plot ! You should be so proud to support such lunacy!

    2. @Tim Smith – “people die everyday” — yes, but in this case it could have been far less numbers.

If this had been under Obama’s watch would you say the same thing?

    3. @Tim Smith – also: if “people die everyday” — & evidently you’re comfortable with that outcome — you shouldn’t be too concerned about abortions — because, well, people die everyday.

  9. Trump is the WORST example of a human. America, if you have any integrity, hold him accountable lest he appear again, or someone ten times worse does.

    1. Trump is not the problem. It’s his enablers, the people who voted for him in 2016 to be President, the people who did not vote to stop him. The republican party who did not stand up to him when he was clearly abusing power and his response to Covid-19 which was managed incompetently and a total disaster which killed thousands of lives. Let’s not forget even after all this 74 million Americans voted for Trump in 2020. I call it the Trump virus= otherwise known as Stupidity. Literally, half of America is addicted to stupidity!

    2. You sound like a nazi. Are you aware joe Biden voted for school segregation? Robert Byrd was his hero yes Robert Byrd the kkk leader who was a democrat member of congress until mid 2000’s.. basically democrats want you to believe there data not data from nonpartisan factions😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. Remember it’s , the virus is so bad and deadly like she said that they were gonna have a mass super spreader event for joes inauguration until they realized the optics and canceled that two days before the capital hill incident . Remember it’s so bad and deadly that restaurants in New York and California are allowed to open now days after the Biden inauguration with 8 thousand people a day dying of covid supposedly.

    3. @Jeff Jay You should go into a hospital unprotected; no masks, no face shield, no hazmat body suit and show that the virus is fake. Be the hero, expose the truth.

  10. This is why I personally can’t “unify” with Trump voters, even those in my own family. The level of mendacity in this past administration is both insufferable and overwhelming. I don’t and won’t “unify” with their lies.

    1. @Lisa DiConti they may not all be evil, but a lot of them MUST be considered just that, and criminals to boot. The Republican senators are defending trump, not our Constitution. That makes the GOP accomplices. Period. AFTER the fact, remember, we ALL saw it play out, while the president watched gleefully on his TV. I mean, come on. Sheesh

    2. @Lisa DiConti unity is not the same as having compassion. i DO have compassion for trumpists, and i have basic love for all humans, and i extend that base-level entry compassionate love to trump and his minions, but no unity. that is not possible. and that does NOT mean that i like them! in fact, i dislike them all very strongly, but i stop short of hatred, for hatred solves nothing, and is part of the trumpist’s malaise… unity is different than acceptance. acceptance is a cornerstone of wisdom, yes, but we can’t ‘accept’ their behaviour, and they need to be held accountable, or else. for the pentitent trumpist or trumper who is questioning their faith, i will consider having unity with them, yes. but the diehard ‘dug-in’ trumper doesn’t deserve unity

    3. @Jimmy TheBold The op said “Trump voters” which is half the nation. He originally made no distinction nor did he differentiate. Not all Trump voters are the same. You’re negating 1/2 of America if you say “Trump voters”.

    4. Some of you here know Trump supporters, or even have family members who are supporters. This has been on my mind for a long time now. I can understand people supporting Trump because they agree with some of his policies. But I cannot understand how they can support his deplorable behavior. Why can’t they admit Trump’s faults but praise his policies? I have encountered only two Trump supporters online who stated that they didn’t like Trump’s behavior but voted for him because of the policies the Republican Party was promoting under Trump. Only two supporters! Since they won’t admit his abnormal and outright disgusting behavior, I wonder then if they support it. If they do, then why? Surely they wouldn’t accept this kind of behavior from a coworker, a friend, or a family member. “Now, son. Remember to always respect people and watch your language.” Then the parent goes to a Trump rally to listen to Trump do exactly the opposite. WTF? How the heck can anyone justify the hypocracy?
