@joel medina No, you are completely misrepresenting what the CDC has said. They simply did not say that it was highly surviveable and that masks were ineffective. Yes, the death rate has been around 3.2% lately, better than the 4.2% it started out at, as our doctors have learned more about treating the virus. However, surviving doesn’t mean that you are automatically unscathed. There are many, many people dealing with long term after effects from their COVID infections. Strokes, fevers, headaches, nausea, dizziness and fainting, your immune system attacking your own organs, etc. have continued for months for some people. BTW, a 3.2% death rate still makes it pretty deadly, about ten times worse than the flu. Not MY definition of ‘highly survivable’.
The AMA should yank Atlas’s medical license(s).

I don’t understand the end goal. Covid is here to stay in America, clearly. Instead of shutting down the entire economy and perpetuating fear to all citizens, why don’t old and obese people be the only ones forced to quarantine since they’re the minority who’s at risk. If you’re healthy, chances are covid will literally cause zero symptoms. This is all blown out of proportion to perpetuate fear and get the Democrats back into office by directing the blame to trump. Covid is more like AIDS than a flu or a cold. Covid causes immune system disruption and long-term effects. People have wide-ranging symptoms at every age from infants to elderly. Death is not the only effect of Covid. It’s not a “live or die” virus.
