There is a nice irony in Williams having to constantly report on a pathological liar; pot, meet kettle.
Jolly erred when he said Ambassador Taylor corroborated Trump’s involvement in the extortion quid pro quo, because Taylor testified that he never had any direct communication with Trump. Everything Taylor reported about Trump’s involvement is based on what others told him. In other words, it’s hearsay. People like Sondland may have had reasons to lie to Taylor, or may have been lied to themselves by Giuliani & Mulvaney, who Bolton accused of masterminding the Ukraine “drug deal.” Bolton accused them, not Trump.

So many of the republican Senate hate Trump – Remember what they called him before the election – I think Romney might just get a few quiet, behind the scenes, approaches from other Rep. Senators and a little cabal will form to oust Trump – and once they declare to McConnell their is enough support to oust Trump, McConnel will get Trump’s resignation.
I suspect you’re correct, up to the resignation part; Drumpf’s too much of a nacisistic showman to let it end like that. Time will tell, but one thing’s for certain and that’s that I’m stocking up on butter and popcorn.

The last thing he said is what I believe as well: There will be defectors from trumpistan in the senate, the number will have big influence on how little his chance for re-election is, even without Democrats rubbing it in on every opportunity. The electorate will know, my senator thinks this guy is a crook.
20 trumpublicans seems impossible, but the damage an easy impeachment like this will do is amplified by every defecting trumpublican.
