For folks in poor rural areas, parts of Trump Country before we had Trump Country, fracking can mean opportunity, wealth, and autonomy for some, destruction and ruin for others. Journalist Eliza Griswold tells a story that begins in the Niger delta and brings her to the doorstep of a family farm in Southwest Pennsylvania in the midst of the energy boom. There, in the towns of Amity and Prosperity, she learns about the intimate and complex reasons why people chose to bring fracking to their town, and the crisis they face when mysterious illnesses begin to appear.

I had leased 2 separate offices over the past 8 years. The county sent me a tax form indicating that I needed to pay taxes on the contents of my office.
The first time they called me, and I thought it was a prank call. Then I started to receive annual tax bills from the county.
I told the guy when he called me: I said that I found some of my furniture in dumpsters, and then whatever else I have isn’t worth much, and I also didn’t have a lot in my office.
I was told if the value of my office contents is below $x.xx, that I wouldn’t owe taxes.
I told this chap: this makes me want to remove everything from my office. I totally don’t understand this taxation; I’ve already paid taxes when I purchased these items.

There are actually very long videos of Trump disavowing Duke. You should also watch the full video of his “very fine people on both sides” speech for Charlotte. MSM edits his statements A LOT.
