It was a Republican bill and inside the bill they made it illegal for Medicare to negotiate for lower prices. Drug Prices have gone straight up since. The US is not looked upon by the world as the “Backbone of freedom”! In virtually every nation there are laws in place prohibiting foreigners from involving themselves in local political matters, including the USA. Ironically there is no organization that is more involved in trying to alter the internal politics of Sovereign Nations that is the US government via the CIA and even the FBI. We have just seen that these evil bureaucrats will fight against popular political movements even if they happen to be in the US itself. Its time that Trump start to enforce a policy like Star Trek’s “Prime Directive”. The US now has a Homeland Security department to protect from such things. All the world’s nations are now hoping this event will lead to the CIA being disbanded and Trump starts observing a “Prime Directive”.
Rhetoric indeed… We all know the answer. The only way Trump can avoid spending many years in jail, together with his kids, assciates, and appointees, is to be re-elected in 2020. Thus he will do *anything* to get re-elected,no matter how unethical, criminal, and treacherous it is.
And the same may be the case for McConnell and several other GOP senators — although maybe with “losing millions of dollars in donations, bribes, and kickbacks” instead of “going to jail”.
How about impeach on the Eve of the election? Don’t say that breaks convention. Convention has been invalidated in this presidency. Keep him busy. Loose the impeachment trial so he is still president and can’t Amnesty himself. Better outcome than the Nixon hand over in exchange for Amnesty.
