@Ellen Kortman Google the 25th Amendment. It changes how a Vice President is replaced. Section 1 “In case of the removal of the President from office (the Impeachment process) or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.” Sec 2 “Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of Vise President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority of both Houses of Congress.” Section 3 Covers the President transferring the powers and duties to the Vice President and resuming it. Section 4 Covers Congress transferring it to the Vice President. If they decide they can’t resume it, it requires 2/3rds of both branches of Congress to confirm it, the powers remain with the “Acting President.” It doesn’t remove them.

He is right that people do not want status quo anymore, thats why Clinton lost, so the only top 3 democrats trump might win to is Biden if trump makes some sudden populistic policies like tax cuts for the low income citicens and medicare for all. Going more left than Biden on some popular issues is the only way Trump can win in my opinion. He probably also needs to do it fast because people will not take his word for it anymore.

When that gas burns off (as is happening) it IS going to tumble. China can weather the storm much longer than we can.
